Ignore my post then. I was answering your original question using your supplied diagram.

Re: Pardini trigger adjust screws coming loose
A couple of caveats. Loctite works by being totally enclosed in a joint (anaerobic). It also is catalysed better by two ferrous parts in contact. These two parts may have only point contact. Its an open clasp on a rod. It may still have air spaces. They are also aluminum. The nail polish idea may be...

Re: FWB sight random malfuntions
Thanks for that. (a bit wierd!) Presumably though they rely on the springs holding the carrier against the two adjusters?

Re: FWB sight random malfuntions
You have me wondering if that is what was wrong with my Centra pro 57 sight last week (same design). First two shots beyond the 0 ring at 9 oclock and not how I would have called them. Gave the sights a bang then back to normal. I have the additional burden of a MEC swap hanging off it. Probably got...

Re: FWB sight random malfuntions
I am fairly sure the fwb 800x has the sliding plate design where the knobs push left and down on a sliding plate against a diagonal spring. If you cant get any movement with 3 rotations its possible the plate is stuck. You should be able to grasp the iris and physicslly and easily push down and left...

Re: Air Venturi V10 match pistol
It only took a weaker trigger spring and sear polish to go from a pull of 2.3kg to 700 grams but it makes you question why they thought 2.3kg was suitable for a 10 metre weapon. This USA version of the Compact seems to have an adjustable screw in place of a fixed peg to anchor the trigger spring whi...

Re: Air Venturi V10 match pistol
It has been suggested on another thread that it's the same as a Gamo Compact. If that's true, and the standard trigger quality is the same, then LOTS of work is required to even make it mediocre. IMHO the Gamo Compact is responsible for many youngsters giving up pistol shooting; the trigger is that...

Re: Crosman Challenger
Unbelievable, but I guess that means it is a taper thread. I still would have used purple Loctite and left it 12 hours. And not eorry if the gauge finishes up not straight.

Re: Crosman Challenger
I prefer the design where gauge is on the end of a removable cylinder where...
1. gauge can sit in an o'ring cavity on a flat face
2. Failing gauge hits the end wall not your neighbor.
These guns are made to a price to fit the sporter rules and it shows.

Re: Crosman Challenger
So if that block sits inside the cylinder to take the gauge it would be difficult to tell if air was bypassing the gauge threads or bypassing the big o-rings and coming out the hole round the gauge threads.
Curious design!!

Re: Crosman Challenger
Loctite and let it set overnight?? And don't apply it to the threads until it is almost screwed in.
Don't want anthing in the cylinder particularly ptfe tape.

Re: Quote from the Pellet Master
Agreed. Cheaper pellets (including RWS Hobby) have visible pieces of swarf that can fall down the transfer port in my rifle. They also jam under the loading probe.Leadbelly wrote:My only comment is I have found cheap pellets were NOT very CLEAN.

Re: Question For Hammerli AP20 Owners
Sometimes primary design function is re-purposed successfully. Wire paper clips to open CD drive. Cable ties for hand cuffs Ball bearings in paint cans. Roll pins for air pistol valve probes. Why manufacture something that costs pennies ftom stock? You tube is full of "hacks" some of which...

Re: New to PCP & having a pump problem.
The advantage of the adapter pressing in the valve is the pump doesnt have to open both valves every stroke, and with scuba tanks you dont get that sudden break followed by the whine of the valve vibrating. Disadvantage is you need to screw cylinder in and out for a couple of turns against the press...

Re: Question For Hammerli AP20 Owners
These are good pistols but made to a price. If a roll pin fulfills the function of being... - Hard metal - Hollow - Fits a drilled rather than reamed hole - Probably never need to come out then for production on a budget they are ideal. Naturally they have a slit so they need to be entirely inside t...

Re: New to PCP & having a pump problem.
"If I unscrew the cylinder from adapter there is just the quick burst of air but the cylinder is still charged."
I would think that is what you should continue doing then.
All depends if the cylinder has a push-in valve pin which the adapter holds in. Sounds like it does so do the above.
