Re: FAS 604 seal sizes
for the FAS 604 I would say that hardness 70 is just fine. the pressures are nowhere near PCP cylinder pressures. I have also tried "upgraded material" piston O Rings like Fluro brown rings and they last a few hundred shots. Nitrile are very long lasting in this pistol, and like 20 pence/c...

Re: how to push myself outside comfortzone while training?
Whereas aerobic exercise outside of shooting practice will help all shooters lower the resting heart rate, one national team allegedly runs a short circuit between practice shots. rather like boxers training with ankle weights I guess.

Re: Newbie Question: FAC Application (UK) and Mental Health
Tell the government anything about yourself? What, are you crazy? You have to understand the UK governments' paranoia with guns. One false step and you are in deep trouble. Tell your wife where you keep your gun safe keys and you lose your licence. The Scots are even licensing air guns and banning ...

Re: Wich pellet for my steyr lp 10 ?
Some basic pellets have bits of lead swarf in the bottom of the tin and I avoid them as they can get down the transfer port. Also bent skirts. Never had that with top end pellets. Unless the gun prefers cheap pellets why not get the best you can afford? Its like choose two pennies or three pennies p...

We have recycled exhibition display frames made from steel box section with removable feet. frame covered in 5mm black perforated hardboard (like mdf) then topped with three layers of corrugated cardboard packaging. Bisley card holders with heavy duty replacement plates and mattress springs in place...

Re: Mobile App for keeping a Logbook
if you have a 5 shot card you can score that in under 10 seconds. I couldnt scan one shot in that time with a Samsung S5.

Re: Mobile App for keeping a Logbook
I used to use Target Scan (Android) for 10m Airpistol where the main problem was grouping in 10s merging two 5 shot cards. Since moving to 10m Rifle the 5 shot cards cannot be read in one go and you have to scan every shot. If lighting is not perfect that can take more than one scan per shot. life i...

Re: Sight Picture
I second all that. It's not something opticians seem to be are trained for, particularly in UK though Australia should be a bit more enlightened to things that go bang. I would just add that as this is in the Olympic Rifle section are you using an iris rear-sight or open notch? The whole point about...

The US Army Pistol Marksmanship Training Guide is a great resource for information in this area: http://www.saveourguns.com/Ar_Marks_Un_Pistol_Train_Guide.pdf Thats a good read! Personally I might add to the list of affecting diet and drug items : Sugar and Ventolin (for any asthmatics) Both cause ...

I've never had a problem with balance.

Re: standing balance eyes
Yes but I would say a 30mm x 100mm black blinder and the unshrouded black iris when one is fastened to the other allow in equal light. translucent blinder or no blinder is far too bright for me. But its personal I guess.

Re: standing balance eyes
As a mediocre and elderly club shooter who never shot five tens in a row I have only non expert observations but whereas I take 100% the concept of equal light for both eyes and balance effect, I wonder what that means when snuggled under a visor looking through a 1.1mm iris. How much light is that?...

Sorry, meant to say not designed to be user-lubed in the way of, say, an Air Arms rifle where a regular drenching in Napier Power oil is encouraged.

Re: How to disable recoil absorver in FWB P40?
Pisltol shoots perfectly, one full cylinder gives me over 100 shots. Since I have no factory service, I maintain every 6 months, but I distrust the absorver is not working perfectly, I would disable if there is a safe way to do it. Take it out would be very simple, or even full adjust the screw tha...

Re: FAS 604 seal sizes
I use those sizes : 17,13 2,62 6,75 1,78 3,69 1,78 They fit well ! Sorry to revive old post but I agree with these sizes . They are otherwise known by British Standard sizes BS115 BS610 BS007 respectively I found the metric 1.5 and 2.5 sections not enough to seal well particularly on the piston. NB...
