If short cycling is the problem it can often be cured by snipping a coil at a time from the slide return spring allowing the rearward movement of the slide to increase....eventually allowing pickup of the next round. That sounds like it's "short cycling", i.e. the bolt isn't coming back far enough to pick up the next round. Either the ammo is weak, or there is too much drag for the slide to come back as far as it needs to. This sort of thing often occurs on feeding the 2nd round, because the upward fo...

I thought I'd tag along on this topic too. For one thing, properly set Walther GSP's in my experience will run clean, dirty, hot, cold, wet, dry, and with any ammo.
