What level of scores are achieved with centre hold v area aim. For shooting on Rapid Fire targets, the centre hold is the only realistic option, but for the precision pistol target... could it be that the 'proof of the pudding' is in the eating? Forget about 'good' scores; how many shooters are in t...

Spencer C - who and where are all these custom grip makers? - we dont hear of many of them in this neck of the woods. There are are few of us that could do with some help - ta Certainly in my main area of operations (up and down the east coast) there are quite a few (who will do after sales modific...

Makes one glad that we have the number of available custom grip makers in Australia. I.e. a grip to fit the individual with a follow-up service / adjustment - rather than just the small. medium, or large, or a mail order 'custom' grip.

...Basically, what you are trying to do is FORCE your aiming eye to focus on your sights... Not sure that 'force' is the right wording. 'Forcing' the focus to the forsight is what happens when the eye's 'natural' focal length is at some other distance - the correcting lens is there to overcome this...

Limiting the "discussion to ISSF 50m" will only decrease the advantage that visiting this website provides you in your discipline...as the benchrest guys have the technical details worked out...the prone guys have the technique details worked out. My opinion of course. Mike Tiehen Could i...

Re: 5 meter reduced air pistol targets?

A friend is looking for a source for reduced size air pistol targets. I have seen some 7.5 meter reduced targets but he is sure he has heard about 5 meter versions. Any info or sources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe G. Depends on the intended application of the target... The ISSF Air Rif...

Caution Testing of batches of various ammunition over a chronograph for RFP has given some big velocity differences between inividual pistols OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. Just because a shooter gets 250+mps with brand X ammo in brand Y pistol does not mean that all brand ammo X will pass in brand Y p...

SISC in its present form is nowhere near big enough. the World Champs are HUGE!(Are the photos of Lahti still available on this website?) The facilities required in ISSF 3.5.1 are the minimum... and SISC has no 300M Rifle, or 50M Running Target ranges. The only thing smaller at SISC than was at Lah...

I must come from an other planet. Who would shoot supersonic .22lr ammo from a target pistol? All the major ammunition companies make their match grade .22lr ammo subsonic. But +mach1 for what barrel length? A lot of nominally +mach1 ammo out of a 15" or 18" barrel will be subsonic out of...

Re: tremors and slackening wrist

What's your solution? Thanks! 1/ get the grip fixed for NPA on the target. 2/ strength to hold a pistol needs both sets of muscles for each group, in addition to gentle 3 to 5lb barbell holding reps (the up hold muscles) there needs to be an equivalent down exercise; set up a pulley system to enabl...

Re: Pardini SP 22lr and subsonic ammo

Hi there, I was thinking that, maybe, using subsonic ammo in my Pardini SP 22lr I would reduce muzzle jump in the rapid series. But before wasting my money I would be glad to know whether subsonic ammo would work in this gun without jams (feeding failures). Don't forget the 250mps velocity required...

First guess is that this is unlikely to be as a result of rifle shooting; more likely that shooting is showing up the problem caused elsewhere.

Questions;
- Is shooting the only time the symptoms are occuring?
- Are the symtoms when shooting in prone, or kneeling / standing?
