Re: FAS 6007.....Finally in production and for sale in Austr

That’s a shame as the FAS 607 ( now 6007 ) is an incredible pistol that deserves to be experienced by shooters in the U.S. Personally, I'm very pleased to have stumbled on a used FAS607. Was looking into them after following stories about the FAS6007 and the one I purchased was only a 45 minute dri...

Re: USA Shooting & ELEY Present Portal E-Limination

Sounds promising. Interface is slick, but I had a rather bug filled experience trying to create a user and a club. Maybe it's the work firewall. Will have to try again once I get home. Nice to see a big name back such an effort. Would be really nice if they could cooperate in some manner with the li...

Re: Target Size and Height Calculator

The height of targets is set in the rulebook. And if that height is to center of target, doesn't change with distance. If you want to replicate shooting at 10m then you need to replicate te angle of the arm and the ralationship to the eye. You therefore need to change the height of the target. Gotc...

Re: Target Size and Height Calculator

I'm confused as to why you'd need to measure anyone to get the required height. The height of targets is set in the rulebook. And if that height is to center of target, doesn't change with distance. I've scaled targets before based on simple geometry and then discovered that's not how to accurately ...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?

If that seems a bit daunting, you can try cleaning the mechanism with aerosol cleaner, and a lot of wiggling of the extractor to help flush out any crud. Just thought I'd update this thread with my experience. Didn't use aerosol cleaner, but before my first official match ever, I soaked the extract...

Sight Adjustment? FAS607

So, I've signed up for my first match. Going to shoot CDN1800 (with .22 only), ISSF Standard, and ISSF Sport. Match organiser has already offered to lend me a pistol if I want to shoot that in Service Pistol. My biggest worry (besides shooting VERY badly last few times at the range and having little...

Fun new toy - DruLov Model 75

Collectors item really. Manual stamped with manufacturing date (Dec. 5th 1979) Test target with gun serial number and signature Original retail box (slightly worn and beaten). Haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but the set trigger is impressive in dry-fire (done without locking the bolt forward, s...

And if you're going to look at the Trace, you might consider reading threads that discuss the Trace system first. While a SCATT thread, goes into detail about Trace as well: http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=52879 A Trace thread: http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5195...

Re: FAS 607 - weak extractor?

Does anyone else have trouble opening this site ? I can open it no problem. I recently purchased A repair kit for my 602, from Rafael (sp) at Domingo 602 in Italy. I’m not too clever at mix and matching stuff. Good service! Have heard many good things about the service from Domino (http://www.domin...

Just had an OMG discovery. Thought I'd share it with others that might be interested.

A Spanish website that seems to list a whole bunch of FAS spare parts.

Re: Buying Advice: Match or Plinking Pistol

re thoughts about buying a S&W victory... the one I bought was a total piece of junk. cheap parts, assembled poorly, and was an overall mess. spent a bunch of money on trigger mod and some other stuff, none of which really improved it. moral: if you start with junk, then junk it will always be ...

Re: rapid fire air pistol

Bring capital to invest. I've been to clubs like that in Europe. We held the 2014 World Muzzle-Loading Championships in Las Gabias, Spain...a week after the same range hosted the ISSF World Championships. Clubhouse, enough space to hold the closing banquet (with ~500 people)...a country club with a...

Re: rapid fire air pistol

And even among the few 'regulars', there is little social interaction or feeling of camaraderie. First club I joined was often filled with old regulars just there to talk and then go out for a beer after club closing. Many of the people shooting were there for the same reason, but they shot their g...

She does.
My rental property, my mortgage, my cash.
And I'll be "dragging" her away on more vacation travel thanks to the changes so she has nothing to complain about.

Dream Gun Cabinet

Hypothetically speaking, say I'm asking for a friend... If you came into a decent amount of money, and while logic certainly dictated that you should invest it and not wildly spend it, you decide that a sizeable amount should be spent buying some of the toys and extravagances that you might not have...

People hate to lose and Pareto says 80% never have any hope, ever, of being a winner........... Yeah, on Bullseyetalk I got pissy with a sanctimonious oldtimer when they told a member (older gentleman who just bought three good guns to get back into the sport) to put everything but the .22 in the s...

Easy and straight forward store to store shipping following all applicable legal requirements. Heck they could ma...

Re: rapid fire air pistol

Sorry, but this is sort of a stream of consciousness rant that this thread has evoked from me: I've been mocked or hounded out of a thread or two for suggesting that bullseye shooters need to put the 2000$ guns away and shoot production guns and commercial ammo along side the regulars more to encour...
