Re: 50m Free Pistol dropped from W/C

Well said Gregor. Shaky hands, the NRAs political activism is what forced the split and creation of USAShooting. Now the NRA fights with the CMP. If the USA had a stronger target shooting culture, they might be able to wield more influence in Olympic shooting. It's US bullseye that influenced Olympi...

Re: 50m Free Pistol dropped from W/C

Seems having all disciplines of shotgun, pistol, rifle come together and stand side-by-side to grow each others sports Mhmmm. Seems the Scots have understood the concept meanwhile. Sassenachs however are still too (stupidly) self-destructive to grasp it. *Sigh* Serves 'em right? Alexander What's th...

Thanks!
Figure what I put is probably way too soft. But didn't notice anything wrong firing the pistol.

Good luck whining and moaning and calling people names.
Won't convince a single one of them to see you point of view or help promote our sports.

Re: What is the function of those Belleville washers?

Semester, the pistol only has to move enough to open the orifice and let high pressure gas pass through.

There will be very little movement.

From a quick read, the washers are around the shaft of the piston assembly at all times.

Not familiar with the LP10, but just looked at a parts diagram. It's the spring that sets the cut-off pressure in any regulator.

Those washers IMO are what controls the pressure delivered by the regulator.

"all inclusive events to build a cross discipline shooting community" Out of interest, where did that come from? From my post. Seems having all disciplines of shotgun, pistol, rifle come together and stand side-by-side to grow each others sports is a leftist liberal weenie type of thing t...

ANd as soon as you start being a judgemental ass you become one of the biggest problems in the way of promoting shooting sports to a wider audience.

Re: 50m Free Pistol dropped from W/C

Its not just the Olympics. Just looking at the schedules for this years World Cups and 50m pistol has been dropped. Bugger..... Might be a better source than Wikipedia, but for quick reference: The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a hom...

Shirking of Personal responsibility started with McDonalds wanting to make more coffee with lessmgrounds. Then refusing to help cover Stellas medical bills. IIRC, some responsibility was attributed to Stella. And the award was infintessimally small compared to daily coffee sales. Third degree burns ...

Re: What Pistol Is This?

ISSF 25M (aside from the trouble of finding a 25 m (27.3 yd) range) is not popular and it is difficult to find anyone shooting this discipline. Just an aside: While their webstore seems to be notorious for not being accessible, the Shooting Federation of Canada sells scaled ISSF targets. At the clu...

Idea for a 45ACP pistol design?

Maybe this belongs in the Bullseye forum, but it's just speculative blue sky thinking, so I put it here. A few firearm related things have been reattling around in my brain and they came together in one idea. I found out about the George Wilson 45ACP Match pistol (http://tonybrong.blogspot.ca/2014/0...

Going to look for a key fob or something similar.

In the meantime, I'm going to try rubber washer material. Cut it and it's retained well in the pistol by the clip.

Re: DPM Pistol Recoil Reduction System

Thanks for the reply.
Actually thought it would be a more elegant solution than buffers/bumpers in most guns.

Having a short strong spring at the end of travel Would certainly be better than the sad rubber buffer in my FAS.

DPM Pistol Recoil Reduction System

Anyone have any experience with these three spring system recoil spring replacements?

The theory seems sound. But does it work in practice?

This section applies where a person sells an air weapon by way of trade or business to an individual in Great Britain who is not registered as a firearms dealer. Badly written law. One, the law applies to the seller, not the purchaser. Two, the UK can't make UK law apply in other jurisdictions and ...
