SIUS Pellet Trap

Before buying my SIUS Target with the pellet trap I fired paper targets mounted to a silent pellet trap. All my lead collected inside the trap. Since using the SIUS pellet trap I have lead fragments all over the floor. I estimate that 3% of the pellet weight is falling outside of the pellet cup. Has...

Re: Rifle rest for offhand stand

I did not hear back from ISSF or USA Shooting regarding this question. I spoke to Marcus Raab who told me it was against the rules in an ISSF match to place your rifle on a "rifle rest" mounted to the offhand stand. He also told me to look under section 6, General Technical Rules to find t...

Re: Rifle rest for offhand stand

I have reached out to ISSF to ask them if this stand is in violation of any of the rules. I will post their reply if I hear from them.

Re: Rifle rest for offhand stand

I was not aware of this. All I could find is ISSF rule 7.5.8.3 Rifle Rest/Equipment & Accessories. It does not say anything about attachments to the Offhand Stand. I am sure you are right. Can you tell me what the ISSF rule number is? Thank you, Ron

Re: Rifle rest for offhand stand

About 20 years ago I introduced my wife to 3p small bore. She refused to place her rifle on the ground. I looked everywhere for a rifle rest the I could attach to her stand. I found nothing so we created our own. I made about 30 of them. All the shooters at the club used then. A couple on college te...

ISSF Kneeling Roll Rules for 10m Air Rifle

What is the maximum size for a Kneeling Roll? According to ISSF rule 7.5.8.5, 2017 Edition and current on the ISSF site. The maximum dimension is 25cm (9.84") long and 18cm (7.05") in diameter. No one sells a kneeling role larger than 6" in diameter. I was told that the rule may have ...

How do you trust an out of date cylinder? Who is responsible if something goes wrong and you or your child is injured?

Forend Riser Block in Prone

Has anyone had experience using the Forend Riser Block to elevate the front sight in the prone position? I have already adjusted the butt plate and pulled my left hand as far back as possible. While I can sight the rifle it puts a lot of tension on my neck and the pressure affects my eyesight. I als...

Re: eye sight correction

Thank you, you understand this far better than I ever will. At my age vision is a major problem. The Gehmann unit has helped me improve my sight picture and allowed me to enjoy shooting again. It’s not perfect and I suffer from eye fatigue mostly in prone. I shoot 10m air rifle in my basement range ...

Re: eye sight correction

Have you looked into the Gehmann Iris with 0x Diopter with correction. It allows you to correct your vision and improve your target image by reducing the iris. It has changed my whole shooting life.

Re: Gun hanger/hook for off hand stand

I created what I call “Position Rifle Rest” that we use when shooting standing and kneeling to keep our rifles off the ground and to make getting the rifle easier. It mounts on the Off Hand Stand. I will send you a picture. If interested I can send you one, all you need to do is cover shipping. My p...

Re: ISSF Boot Rules

My boots are older. After cutting them I now walk with a normal gate, heel to toe. I think you are right they would pass the test. I no longer fire in matches (76) but I like knowing that I am meeting all the rules.

Thank you
