Re: Steyr air rifle
I wanted to make a follow up post to this old thread since my daughter is still shooting her Steyr LG110 with great success. This past Winter Airgun match, December 2019 she shot a pair of 619’s ( 619.4 & 619.1 ), finishing 14th place. In practice she’s shot up to 625.4 with her Steyr LG110, so ...

Smallbore Rifle Backstop?
I’m looking to build a backstop for my daughter to train against with her small bore competition rifle, what kind of a backstop will I need? Has anyone done this & what have you used? What was a successful design? Naturally she will be hitting the same spots over & over & I don’t want an...

Ammo Testing Process?
Since we aren’t going to be sending my daughter’s rifle off to be ammo tested at one of the special facilities, what is the process?
Please give it to me as detailed as possible, I’ve never done this before.

Re: Re-Barreling a Walther KK500?
If you can connect me with Howard, that would be helpful as I don’t know if a gun smith near me. Feel free to PM me his number. The used kk I know of could be had for a little over $4K & depending on the cost of re barreling it might be a possiblility vs buying a new one.

Re: Re-Barreling a Walther KK500?
I agree, weight training is important & much to my surprise she has had a 6:45am weight training class every day this semester at school. Her strength (core especially) has easily doubled & she hasn’t been late or missed a day the entire time. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with her dri...

Re-Barreling a Walther KK500?
I’ve been looking at lighter weight SMB guns for my daughter & haven’t seen any KK500 light weight rifles available for sale used. If one bought a standard weight KK500 could the barrel be changed for the lighter weight barrel? If so what kinda costs might be involved & would it be worth it?

Re: Flying with your Precision Rifles?
One man, that’s a great question Robert! I am having a 16 year old teammate travel with us & without her parents. We have this same issue upcoming in a couple weeks. Hopefully someone has good insight on this.

Re: Flying with your Precision Rifles?
Kudos to everyone, that is great information that definitely helps a ton! A couple more questions: someone told me recently to loosen the stock to receiver bolts as someone’s stock broke traveling & was attributed to the pressure changes. Any thoughts on this or anything else to do to the SMB or...

Flying with your Precision Rifles?
At the end of the month I’m flying with my daughter to Ft. Benning for the Army National Junior Championship (Precision) and we will be bringing both the air rifle & small bore rifle. Since this is our 1st time flying with rifles, I need some direction. While I’ve been reading up on TSA guidelin...

Re: Steyr air rifle
Scott, I understand your concerns but we leave tomorrow AM for the Olympic Training Center & the Winter Air Gun competition. My daughter will be shooting her Steyr LG110. As with most sports, we all chase the item those who are winning are using. Naturally, it’s why there is sponsoring by compan...

Re: Steyr air rifle
That is a very good point! I never thought about that possibility, I was still at the basic level of "worry" vs the "Wisdom" you bring to the table. That IS very good advice to attach "your adapter" to "your cylinder", something we will be sure to put into pla...

Re: Custom Precision suit time... Recommendations?
She is a sophmore in high school, done growing and filling out. (Please Lord, no more filling out! LOL!!) We definitely know the scores she needs for collegiate shooting and I am confident she will be there by her junior year if not sooner. She shoots small bore and air rifle. She has already been i...

Custom Precision suit time... Recommendations?
So, my daughter has come to the point of her shooting where a custom shooting precision suit is looking like it needs to occur. Who would you recommend or perhaps not recommend? If you can provide actual reasons, it would be great too.

Re: Steyr air rifle
I have to admit, I was a bit concerned with so few Steyr Air Rifles being used. However, having purchased a used one for my daughter we have been very pleased with it. It's her "baby"... This past July we had the gun pellet tested at the Olympic Training Center and it shot a 5.6 grouping, ...

How can I lighten up an Anschutz 2007/2013?
My daughter has been shooting the Anschutz 2007/2013 men's rifle since this past fall and while she is doing well with it, I am concerned the 14 pound rifle may create issues with her position. So my question is, does anyone have knowledge on how it can be lightened up if needed? I heard there maybe...

Steyr LG110 - any good?
I was wondering about the Steyr LG110 vs other air rifles like Feinwerkbau 800x or others? I know their air pistols are top notch but never see or hear much about their air rifles. I'd appreciate others thoughts on this rifle & especially vs others for use in 3P shooting.

Re: Ideas for pellet trap -home use
I've searched a bunch and majority of what I see is a box design with rubber shavings with or without the putty material from the hardware store as a backstop. What I need is the ability for my daughter to move a target from offhand to kneeling to sitting & to prone easily but have a safe backst...

Ideas for pellet trap -home use
Not only do I need to figure out a pellet trap to use at home but I also need ideas on being able to have my daughter shoot all positions too. This I'm not sure if one will work or do I need multiple traps?

Trying to get my daughter going in Air Rifle, Need Advice!
One of my daughters started shooting in January of this year with our local small bore youth program and fell in love with the sport. Her coaches are truly amazing and by the end of April was shooting 530's on her 3p with her coaches Anschutz Match 54 rifle. Learning about air rifle and the benefit ...

Re: Damaged Aluminim Stock: Anschütz 2002 Match Air Rifle
Yep, thats the rail I did find. Naturally the damage and repair would affect resale value, any idea what one may consider for price? Wild guesses welcome! Dont forget it needs new air cylinders and regulator serviced and the time to hassle and get it done, if I can even find someone to do the work.....
