Nice work! :D

I came 11th out of 18th which I'm quite happy with for my first ever competition. Next personal goal is to make it into the top 10.

Next comp deadline is 27th June, 40 shots again.

Good on you Andrew, nice to see modern technologies being used to help the adoption of our sport - particularly for younger shooters who may otherwise not be catered to.

Re: Online Air Pistol Competitions

Thanks to you Paul for organising it, much appreciated!

I've yet to join a club myself so can't help on the latter bit; hopefully someone is able to.

Cheers,

Re: Online Air Pistol Competitions

Good luck! :)

I see I have dropped a few places since I last checked, definitely need to improve for the next competition, good fun though!

Got to start somewhere! I've yet to get out of my chair so you're already a step ahead of me. ;)

I have just registered for the 10M Pistol Competition League (PCL) on Facebook. Big thanks to Pheyden for organising this, it looks good. :)

I don't use Facebook but I suppose that's my problem. ;)

I shall follow other's leads but a location-agnostic competition sounds good.

Re: Online Air Pistol Competitions

This is something I was interested in looking at too - with this forum being a fairly large presence online for this type of shooting, would there be any interest in a TargetTalk monthly (or quarterly or whatever) 10m AP postal-style match?

Re: Where to buy 10m AP targets?

Thanks for the Krueger recommendations; my targets arrived safely this morning. As you said David, they were very pleasant to deal with and I even got to use my GCSE German when phoning them to make payment. The black circle of these official targets is 2.89mm smaller than the Bisley targets I've be...

Re: Problem with leaking Baikal IZH-46m pistol

This might be of some help on the leaks: http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2008/04/gamo-compact-vs-izh-46-part-2/ Maintenance first A ton of rumors have been written about how the seals in the 46 are somehow weak. Nothing could be further from the truth, but when kitchen-table hobby airgunsmiths open o...

Re: Running out of clicks

Probably a long shot (no pun intended), but have you tried different pellets? On my IZH-46M I found that JSB pellets shot low and took me right up to the limit of the adjustable sight travel. I switched to RWS (which grouped better anyway) and they shot a lot higher which allowed me to move the rear...

Re: Where to buy 10m AP targets?

A daft question that I'll probably be able to answer myself when the next email appears, but how does one pay for Krueger targets? I was expecting a typical online shop, e.g. add items to cart, total is calculated, provide payment and shipping details, items are sent out for delivery. Instead they h...

Re: Where to buy 10m AP targets?

Thanks David, I had a look on their website and even with the quantities based on multiples of hundreds it stills looks cheaper than fractions of NSRA's pack of 3000. I'll double-check but even with shipping it looks quite reasonable. :)

Cheers Russ, based on that pricing/shipping Krueger look cheaper so I will probably go that route and order a few hundred.

Much appreciated! :)

Re: New shooter, Baikal grip shaping, and questions

Cheers, my biggest concern about accuracy was the scales I was using to weigh the tester, but they're digital and my partner uses them for baking and her cakes turn out well, so they're probably about right. I completely agree about writing everything down. I've been using TargetScan on my phone to ...

Re: New shooter, Baikal grip shaping, and questions

A couple of small updates from me on my progress. I realised that I wasn't always pulling the trigger with the centre of the pad of my finger, and was instead hooking my finger around the trigger and using the first joint of my finger. This not only pulled the pistol to the side rather than straight...

Thanks folks, I might give NSRA a call then to see what prices are like on smaller quantities and how that compares to Krüger's international shipping costs.

Where to buy 10m AP targets?

Hi all, A question for those of you in the UK - where do you buy your 'official' 10m paper targets from? I have been using Bisley targets for practice as I can get them cheap from the local gun shop, but they have slightly different dimensions to the real thing. Obviously affordable cost, 'clean' ho...

Re: New to the forum

I'm fairly new to the sport also and ended up with a Baikal. It's likely not as refined as the FWB, but if you are new to the sport then it will probably still outshoot you for some time to come (mine certainly does!). Like you, I read through a lot of information before starting and made a list of ...
