Re: Baikal IZH-46 Seals

Bump. We have a dead IZH-46M that I am told needs new seals. I see now, in Nov 2023, these are not readily available nor are they inexpensive. I recall someone telling me years ago "there is really just one seal that requires replacement....". I am not experienced nor is the fellow shooter...

Re: difference between 10 click and 20 click Anschutz sights

I appreciate this is a VERY old post. The information is still valid today and I had hoped I could get some wisdom. I have an Anschutz sight on a 2002SSP. Works great. I have a second 2002SSP I use with a scope. From a period I used to train. Anyway, I wanted to set up the scoped with a second Ansch...

Youth Mats...best solution?

So...as we progress to getting our 6 888s working....I was going to buy some mats from MidwayUSA. $29 mat will cost $60 to ship 6 of them. Hummmm. I am not excited about it so I killed the order. Off to Walmart & Dicks to look at Yoga Mats. Any tips from the experts? We are a beginner team so......

Haireacane: I would agree these entry level 5889 sights are marginal. All the more reason I did not want to buy a "whole sight" just to get the aperture. I appreciate your willingness to share. My kids are young and will benefit more from "complete" functioning rifles than "...

Daisy 5899

Seems we are missing a diopter and the Daisy parts list would suggest you need to buy the entire $16 sight to get a diopter. Are the current 5899 acceptable? I have read here and there that the current quality is not high. We are a very young group and...well...a 499 sight would work but long term, ...

As a courtesy to those who might read this I thought I would give an update. Although spotty inventory supply, new co2 rings and a burst valve was found at typical outlets. My take, have both of these in the "inventory kit" as they might not be on the shelf when you need them. I would have...

888 and co2 cylinders

Three quick questions. I did a search on co2 on this forum and did not find the answers. One has a blown burst valve. I can buy a new one and replace DIY? or do I have to send it back to Daisy? No set screws or anything. One leaks out of the brass pin valve. Give a nice fill and is slowly leaks out....

Re what US viewers can see via cable TV and/or streaming video. Seems like most non USA folks have a fairly open program to watch whatever they want to watch on TV or via streaming video. In the USA, some folks don't see to exasperated over NBC's tight distribution. If you happen to only purchase &q...

Observation from Spring/Summer 2012 On The Mark

I just got my issue and I was browsing. I have been away from the youth side of air but that may be changing. My perspective formed from working with 888 and 853s. Back in the day, the CO2 Crosmans were not a good option. BUT! I see today on page 12 and 23 that everyone is holding a Crosman Challeng...

Dunbarton, NH. Informal 10m pistol & rifle season start

Although our program is not formal, it is indoors, it is at 10m, it is heated and we could have 8 positions should demand dictate. We use a 50 ft indoor range and have steel backstops and target holders which are suspended from the ceiling. It is mostly practice for bulls eye pistol types but I brin...

Talk about making silk from a sows ear! I purchased through CMP the Daisy "black box" black pellets. What a disaster! Shots would not even touch. See below. http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m205/durantjud/Targets/10pellet.jpg Although for most expert shooters here on this forum these pel...

Thanks for the input. I appreciate being put straight about the difference between NRA/Winchester system vs. the International Rifle classification system. NRA classification system questions

I was reading the S. Indiana Air match info. I have a dream of getting a winter league going in NH. I have made special backstops, got Monday night approved by the club. Now I just need interest. So...to making things a bit more interesting....I was looking to develop a handicap system and I found t...

Rear Anschutz sight problem

So. I get invited to shoot a 60 shot match for a team. I guess they were desperate. Anyway, sighting in I find I'm high. Grab onto the top knob to turn down. Nada. Out of stupidity and some desperation now on my part I crank it hard and see little pieces coming out/off the sight. Seem the ballbearin...
