refurbishing an old stock

Good morning gentlemen, may I ask your advice on refurbishing an old stock of a Anschutz 380. Specifically I would like to know how to re-blacken the grip areas of the stock ( the areas where the surface of the wood is rough in order to enhance grip). Should I use an acrylic black paint, some kind o...

FWB 80 energy

Hello gentlemen, I would like to ask whether 360 fps (with H&N sport, around 8.2 grain I think) is an acceptable velocity for my FWB 80 or it needs some refurbishment. And any idea where should I start from?
Thanks

Re: fwb p30 problem

Gwhite, thanks for the analysis. It's good to know that this psychological state/explanation exists. But I think that this was not the case. However, I was able to repeat the problem while holding the pistol with my left hand and squeezing the trigger with my right hand. The smooth and slow pull wou...

Re: FWB P30 problem

thanks Dennis, you are 100% correct... "playing" with all screws could be disastrous (or can solve a problem only accidentaly...) without knowing what the correct sequence is and where to start from... I will start over by observing the way the parts are functioning... I was just hoping so...

Re: FWB P30 problem

Thanks Dr. Don, but I have played with all screws to no avail... trigger slack and trigger stop screws didn't make any difference.

Re: fwb p30 problem

Thanks for your replies gentlemen. Yes, I have played with all of the adjusting screws and yes after dismantling I lubricated the parts very lightly with sae10 motor oil. The problem remains. I also downloaded the relevant manual from the fwb site so that I know the use of each screw. When I first g...

fwb p30 problem

Hello everybody. I bought recently a FWB P30 pcp pistol and I am facing the following problem. When I press the trigger very slowly, the trigger reaches the end of its travel and doesn't fire. I have to re-cock (althought it is cocked). If I pull the trigger in a more lively manner(more quickly) the...
