Re: The Perfect Coach

...They are experts on the rules... ...Coaches must also know about sports equipment...and safety. Coaches knowing the match rules, sports equipment and safety - now there is a novel concept! From experience as a range official at Olympics, World Cups, Regionals Championships, Nationals, etc. I can...

Re: 9mm luger for International centerfire

Many years ago 7 or 8 of us serious reloaders started working on the best 9mm load. Using a lead cast 124 or 125 gr bullet with 4.0 grs of Win 231 gave us super accuracy with velocities, out of 6 different pistols, of around 1,025 fps. I have since then loaded over 15,000+ rounds with at load. NOTE...

As this matter relates to Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun I am moving it to the Shooters' Lounge.

Regards to all, with a hope that shooting can be put on the programme for Birmingham,

Re: .22 Short Rapid Fire - Which has the better reputation?

What's the GPO? I think that was before my time (I bought my first OSP in 1995). http://www.pardini.it/manuali/gpo.pdf What was the $4,000* Malfunction Machine with the electronic trigger - was that the GPE? * $4,000 because you had to have two $2,000 guns in your gunbox to avoid triple alibis. Re: ISSF Mixed Team Events

And the ultimate insult is to be put on a target you have not yet shot on and have to shoot the most important shots of the match. These are electronic targets. The center of the target is not always the same from one target to another. So true!!!! This is a point that I have to continually get int...

There's no problem with Stirton.

I've been a member since 2002 (not that that's a recommendation).

Re: New guy with question

i have some ten meter pistol targets but i printed out a target with 3- 3/8" black dots. that is what i have been shooting at. But i am using a six o clock hold on them. Wind up the rear sight a bit more and aim into the white below the black aiming mark (ABOUT 1/2 way down between the bottom ...

Re: New guy with question

Hello, I'm 56 and just picked up a FAS 6004 to shoot in the house. It seems I can't fit in getting out to shoot firearms these days. I am shooting 10 meter pistol targets and having fun. I sure wish I could see my front sight but those days are gone. I have prescription glasses made for seeing the ...

Re: Front Sight Picture or Trigger Management

IMHO Practicing a perfect trigger release 10000 times (i.e. LOTS of dry fire) and keeping up training of the trigger release should make it automatic - leading to the 'unconscious' release of the trigger... ...which then leaves the FRONT SIGHT! Focus on, and at the front sight. (I should practice wh...

Re: Anyone Here Have An Opinion On Venturi Air Compressor

A moisture trap and oil trap or combo trap aren't hard to find. They use them for air that feeds spray guns, either of those will damage a coat of paint. Though admittedly finding a trap rated for 4500 PSI might be a bit tricky. -Jenrick Hooking up moisture and oil traps designed for 150psi (MAXIMU...

My club uses MegaLink electronic targets and recently it changed to internal LED lighting (within each target) and some days (I guess it depends on my eyes, and how tired I am, blood sugar, etc.) I find the target SO BRIGHT that it's hard to look at it. I have shooting glasses with an adjustable ir...

Our monthly 'Mature Age Competition' ( http://www.burildapistolclub.com/mac.htm ) uses age groups: held at the Sydney Olympics range regularly draws 20 to 30 competitors.
