Re: Prism
Re the second point IF you can shoot with both eyes open and unblinded there are big advantages with balance, and eyes working together etc. I simply can't do it so I use blinders. yes that is interesting, although it occurred to me that with the prism your non-aiming eye would be staring at the ch...

Prism
Hi, has anyone used or do use a prism to swap the sight picture to the "other" eye, as per the MEC swap I am left handed but right-eye dominant, wondering what people's experiences are of devices like these; http://static.mec-shot.de/typo3temp/pics/Swap_1000X1000_ce5651f6c3.png in a relate...

Re: How to clean out your target rifle?
For my Walther KK300 after only 25 rounds it takes at least 4 felts to be coming out clean, and the first double is positively disgusting! I use plenty of Ballystix.

Re: standing balance eyes
As a mediocre and elderly club shooter who never shot five tens in a row I have only non expert observations but whereas I take 100% the concept of equal light for both eyes and balance effect, I wonder what that means when snuggled under a visor looking through a 1.1mm iris. How much light is that...

MEC free position buttplate and hook - hook wont go on
I have my new rifle, sorry will post about that later, but for now I am having trouble with the MEC free position buttplate, specifically the hook. In the pic below where the red highlight is, my hook will not go on the rod end, the hole in the hook is just not big enough to take the knurled rod. wh...

Re: Anschutz 1913 vs Walther kk300?????
I have noticed that it does cost a bit more. So there aren't any real differences in between the two rifles? Just personal preference? The Alutec is a cast aluminium stock, the Anatomic is laminated wood. The Alutec is somewhat "budget" compared to the Anatomic. I'm not talking it down, c...

The KK300 is end of manufacture as of a few months ago. That hasn't stopped me from ordering a variant of it. Just sayin.

Re: ISSF World Cup Prone - Clapping during Final Shots
totally agree it is ridiculous that this is allowed (and even encouraged!) to happen. We've all seen the OUTCRY and OUTRAGE when one person has made a relatively quiet comment at the tennis or golf - and now we have people BLOWING HORNS during a sport of IMMENSE CONCENTRATION.

Re: Walther KK500
What I wanted to ask is, what is Walther's thinking behind dropping the KK300 range (small bore) so that now you offer the KK500 variants and the KK300 Blacktec only? This seems to me to be a huge price gap as Walther has completely removed the mid-market rifle that I would call the KK300 Alutec. W...

Re: ISSF & Prone
If you are asking for 4 women in the final in order to be fair, there is no way to know until we really allow it to happen. This won't happen, for sure. It's not about a quota for female shooters 4:4 in the final, it's about a final with the top eight scorers of the qualification regardless their g...

Re: ISSF & Prone
personally I think all ISSF events should be mixed gender.
How about they delete BYO ammo, and provide everyone with ammo from the same control batch on the day.

Re: ISSF & Prone
What they are saying is that equipment in prone is making to much difference - there is not enough skill level and hence skill differentiation involved. You can see this by how many inner tens are hit constantly. It's to easy to stay still enough to hit an inner ten (if you know what you are doing)....

Re: Walther KK500
@Modena, concerning leftie .22 rifles from Walther: (sorry, noone will find this within the KK500 thread in a few days, but anyway...) Although the KK300 Alutec (or Anatomic) aren't part of the official program any more, that doesn't mean that you cannot buy them: we still have a good supply of sys...
