Re: Walther GSP .32 and .22 barrel nM torque
https://carl-walther.com/uploads/media/manuals/GSP_2505100_BA_komplett.pdf Above is for the Expert version manual. There is little changed in the GSP since the late '70's up to the current GSP500 other than trigger assemblies and barrel mounting pin between the Expert and older models (the pin is on...

Matchguns MG2/MG4 Trigger Mod
I didn’t care for the shape of the trigger on my MG2 EVO RF so I took a 1911 trigger shoe (Ace #5) and auka-puckied it to the MG2 trigger. I used J-B Weld but any similar product or epoxy should work as well. The MG2/MG4 trigger is too small to attach the trigger shoe using the Ace shoe’s Allen scre...

Matchguns MG2/MG4/MG2 EVO RF Slide Buffers
When I received my MG2 EVO RF (Rapid Fire), it had no slide buffer installed. After shooting it, I noticed some peening on the frame where the back of the slide makes contact. I then installed the MG2/MG4 buffer (same part with only the 1st number different - "2" for the MG2 and "4&qu...

Re: Eley Target 22LR Ammo Problems
Getting back to the initial topic re Eley Target .22 LR ammo. The replacement Target ammo sent by Eley has performed as expected and that is perfectly. Have tried it in several high-end U.S. and European pistols. Appears that I may have been unlucky by receiving a bad lot before. The bottomline is t...

Re: Mg2
If a MG2 or a certain production run, regardless of variant, is unique, then solutions for problems are unique as well. What works for one pistol may very well not work for others.

Re: Mg2
Indeed. Perhaps if we had a timeline and serial number range for each of the “Morini Mods”, we could then document the various issues that have followed and have a much better idea of what to expect and to better provide solutions. Obviously, there is a difference between MG 2’s, MG2 EVO’s, and the ...

Re: Mg2
I have a MG2 EVO RF with a serial number in the questionable area mentioned above (1050-1100). It had no slide buffer when I got it. I notice a slight amount of peening on the frame where the slide hit it when going back. I tried the O-ring but had occasional problems. Then installed the buffer used...

Re: MatchGun MG2 Carrier Maintenance
A lesson I learned from 2 tours of duty at shore installations and numerous port visits while embarked in ships: "Domani" means "tomorrow. In practice, it means "maybe someday". "Dopodomani" means "the day after tomorrow". In practice, it means "ain'...

Re: Eley Target 22LR Ammo Problems
Found a better, and proper, way to deal with the problem. Have no desire to deal with an ammo batch that results in alibis in CMP Pistol matches or NRA Precision Pistol Tournaments. I don't care why or feel it to be my job to determine why the ammo did not preform as advertized or desired. I contact...

Re: Shapeways Poly Hammerli 208/215 Mags
X-Esse mags work in the 208 as well if the same mod is made regarding the small tab on the back discussed AND the area below the tab is opened up as in the picture.

Eley Target 22LR Ammo Problems
Has anyone had any issues lately with this ammo? I ask because I have had several rounds make a "poof" sound and didn't have enough force to cycle the slides and eject the brass. The bullets all cleared the barrels (208s, Kart conversion on a Colt National Match (1960 vintage), MatchGuns M...

Re: MatchGun MG2 Carrier Maintenance
This what I used to relace the hammer spring (twice) on my MG2. Anchor the upper frame (I use an old Craftsman woodworking bench vice with wood inserts), partially remove the pin holding the spring in front, stretch the spring with the tool, push the pin back in to secure the front of the spring. De...

Matchguns MG4 Doubling/Hammer Follow
Have a MG4. It is a .32 S&W L. I bought it because it had an Eulette .32 ACP Conversion (barrel and extractor) installed. After shooting it for a few weeks, it started doubling and tripling. I had made some trigger adjustments during that time. I played with every conceivable trigger adjustment ...

Re: MG4 double fire
From MatchgunsUSA) 31JUL24: “We came across a new MG4 ACP with a double fire issue. The ammo we used was custom loaded. Jon did a thorough on all the trigger setting screws. The pistol still fired two shots consecutively sometimes. After Jon took a careful look inside the pistol frame, he saw the f...

Re: 32 ACP - "Flash in the Pan"?
I am ceasing further efforts with the MatchGuns MG-4 32 ACP (Eulette Precision mod) since MatchGuns S.r.l in Italy has apparently gone "sneakers up". The support provided by Kang Chua, the U.S. importer of MatchGuns, has always been outstanding in every respect regarding my MG-2 EVO RF and...
