I only see names from my national team in that list last year @ Rune
maybe too expensive for a private person? I also see Thomas Rink in the list, who makes grips

Re: I definitely need better grips, or a better pistol...
sometimes it's both. Trigger, balance, weight, grip size/angle make it easier if it fits. Like many I get to shoot different pistols one after another. With the GSP for example it's easy to shoot good scores, while Ruger MK3 it's hard to. Yes, I can shoot the same, but I have to sweat to hit well, w...

yeah, throw them away, the lead oxide is harder than lead and could scratch your bore.
New pellets usually look shiny.

@BEA
wait, how did you disable the absorber? You removed the whole cylinder with three little springs and one big spring completely? I'd love to disable it too.

Re: Walther GSP purchase advice sought
price too high... it's almost a used pardini over here in Europe for that price (from recent production), new pardinis slightly over $2000.
I don't know, 1600 is probably more than twice of what you should be paying for it. Yes, it's a nice gun, but not for that price.

let me 'splain to you why there is always a guy who is better at something than a woman. The combination X and Y chromosomes allows some crazy stuff to happen. I removed it, because you can see it when in stance, super annoying. You can make it from anything, custom wood and aluminum are sometimes offered for sale. Like here.

Re: long and short sight base
that's not enough data for averages, you need like a 100 series for each, and preferably shot one after another. The scores by the way, will most likely be the same (it depends of course how long and short we're talking about)

you won't get an answer, probably not even from Steyr. You'll have to compare when it arrives.
Here's a picture of a modified LP10 Grip for 10E.

and the final's world record of 206 was with the Morini he set them both in Changwon Korea, a bit unfair that you get to shoot in your range, something the majority of people will never have a chance of doing. Competing on your own range is a big plus, not counting the stress from being in a differe...

Re: How does one join the ISSF, or is that even a thing?
In competition you need to hold 97 per series and in training even more than that. Each country normally has only a few such individuals
I believe participating costs a couple of hundred dollars, not counting the plane ticket, hotel etc, and normally people from the national team participate

Today for every K60 you will sell a 100 K58 pistols, there is a crazy demand for them right now. And because the manufacturing costs are exactly the same as PCP, nobody sells them and the prices for used ones are sky high. I'd love to own one, never even seen the K58.

Re: Weight of LP1 Steyr CO2
Thanks! Found out that 0.240kg is imprinted on CO2 cylinders. Then I add 60-65g of CO2 to it then? So, the weight must be: 800g LP1 without the cylinder (on my scale), a lot of putty on my grip, which adds some weight. 1040g with cylinder 1100g with cylinder filled Exactly the info I was looking for...

Weight of LP1 Steyr CO2
Can somebody please weigh their CO2 powered LP1?
For some reason I think it's much heavier than the PCP version. I have the manual, it says 1110g with steel cylinder, that would be a whole lot more than the ~970g it weighs on my scale

I hear the opposite... Anna Korakaki equaled the junior record with it, took the Olympic bronze.
Pretty much the same gun really. Different screws for the rear sight blade and a couple of holes on the barrel sleeve don't make it any different
