Re: Inside a Steyr LP1-P Aluminum CO2 Cylinder @ 25 years..(
somewhere from a physicist I read that the air pressure causes no cracks, that's why I wrote in that other thread that cylinders are good for hundreds of years. The only problem is corrosion, but the air pressure itself causes no harm to aluminum there's also no European law for small cylinders limi...

Re: World Cup Selection April 1-6 ,,, Free Pistol???
They probably won't, because most people who own FPs don't shoot World Cups... There are only a handful of athletes from each country who take part in a WC. Not only that, the prices have been sky high for the last 12 months. With that said, the effect on some countries is huge, because without the ...

Re: Sight blackener
@Mtl_Biker Yifu Wang did, but many others don't. I'd say don't do it, it's not necessary. Most top athletes don't do it. Those who do you can see the spot around the rear sight gap that they do. Not many. It's a different story if you have an old pistol where the sights are no longer black. What I d...

Re: To shorten sight radius or not?
things like the thickness of the front sight and how well you can see it are much more important. With my shooting glasses, I can see the front sight of a Morini air pistol much better because it's like a whole inch away from my eye than a Steyr. Because of that, the front sight of Steyr is always b...

Re: steyr lp10 seals/regulator question
the typical life of a cylinder should be longer than a 100 years... All cylinders from the 80s I came across still work, only the seals don't.
It's the seals.
It's the seals.

yeah, first un-tighten the left screw, then tighten the right 44 screw, after you're happy with the force, you tighten the left 44 screw

You can visit South Los Angeles and enjoy your nightly rapid .45 fire events, brought to you by the Democratic Party. And if you make it out alive, you'll spend the next 4 hours waiting for some LGBTP demo to disperse before you can move on. Sponsored by the Democratic Party. Well, that was my exper...

Re: USA Shooting Statement on ISSF Changes
It says it right there, mixed team events in Air rifle and air pistol.
Why would it be anything else? There's not much else you can do, in the end you have two teams competing for gold and silver and the other two for Bronze.

Re: USA Shooting Statement on ISSF Changes
Air Pistol and Air Rifle mixed are pretty gay to watch (There are a couple of videos from European Championship from 2015 and 2016 on youtube), they're boring and uneventful. Here's an example, it's very long and slow and I fall asleep type of event. Very tedious to watch. Here's air rifle . If you ...

Re: EU Gun Ban
The current political system is flawed. If you, as a politician don't do anything, you will soon be barked at by competition (opposition), "our citizens are being gunned down and he doesn't do a damn thing about it!" They are pretty much forced to do it, if you don't, you lose and somebody...

Re: thoughts on 10 year cylinder age limit rule
I have heard of many burst cylinders, there was a defective Walther batch from 2001. But never a word about injuries. There was another incident in the news where one flew into a dry wall and was stuck there, because the thread was damage. Manufacturers probably know every serious incident, but they...

Re: Scuba Tank Pressure Too high?
all 200 bar air pistols withstand 300 bar pressure, they're tested for that.
A typical body of an air pistol will hold out a even more pressure than 300, the material is thicker than in the cylinder.
