Re: Walther lp400 vs morini
"maiden" see my post above, in 2012 Zonglian won a WC with it and took silver in WC Finals. He doesn't compete since 2012. You can find those videos on the internet. I had a chance to hold a LP400, the grip is thin (which doesnt' matter, I had to modify them on all pistols). The trigger fe...

Re: New shooter, Baikal grip shaping, and questions
This is the most reliable testing method, you can fill them with used pellets too like I did. You can also experiment with first stage weight by removing one can. Not even sure if izzy has a 2 stage trigger. the are people who use the joint for the trigger, they're usually people with long fingers. ...

Re: LP 10 compact (short) cylinder
there's just NO way you'll get 180 shots, even with light pellets which you should never use in a pcp for the sake of accuracy and with velocity turned down. After a 100 something shots the point of impact will start dropping lower Steyr has one of the smallest cylinders of all air guns, it's physic...

Re: On sights design, inspired by SamEEE
Morini rear sight is farthest from the eye, and is sharper than on LP10, I looked through one a week ago and it's much sharper than Steyr. Whether its better or not idk, but I liked the sharpness. I didn't notice any light being reflected, but it was just in one lighting condition. I actually now ha...

Re: New to the forum
shooting is a great hobby, and air pistols shooting is very cheap (the pistol can be sold later for whatever reason) The 103 is normally very expensive compared to the other two, but it probably depends on where you live. Guns don't matter much, as long as it's your typical match gun, people shot 39...

Re: Steyr LP1 CO2 conversion
I reached 550 a long time ago. Muzzle flip happens a long time after you hear the pellet hit the paper. Absorbers, if anything, can only have negative effect on score, because all they do is make a simple design more complicated. Shooting outside in some light conditions, I can actually see the pell...

Re: Steyr LP10 barrel shroud weights?
It's both the feel and SCATT numbers. Scatt measures the distance your aimpoint travels (in one second, or in the last second before shot, or during the trigger pull, the lower the number the better), so you need to experiment a lot.

Re: Steyr LP1 CO2 conversion
I have one converted, however, there are two different CO2 versions, one where it says Steyr Compensator on the barrel sleeve, on the other it's just black, I have the one with compensator. seals don't matter, they are easily replaced, just look at the overall condition. Grips don't matter, because ...

Re: Walther lp400 vs morini
have you got a second question? :-) there is no competition at all!! how many professionals shoot Lp400? has it ever won any competition? Isakov , he even won the WCF 2015 with it. And he's constantly in the medals throughout the years and beats the usual crowd consisting 60%+ from Steyrs. Zonglian...

Re: Are there different models of the Standard Steyr LP10?
There are 5 generations of LP10 (that, not counting LP1) LP1 CO2, first version, no compensator (it's with this version the world record was set in 89 and held til 2009) LP1 CO2, with compensator LP1 PCP with air LP10 with black trigger, no pressure indicator on cylinder LP10, with pressure indicato...
