A comparision of loading ports between the various rifles...
3/23 - Updated with Rieder und Lenz and Tesro rifles. Time to update this thread. I have added the FWB 2800. Kudos to FWB for coming out with something radically different from their previous rifle. Looks like Anschutz has fallen behind everyone now as far as development. I was bored and just decid...

Re: Cut-out foam for rifle case?
I no longer bother with cutting the foam in my rifle cases. I find now that depending on where I go and what events I shoot the equipment I carry with me varies so much that I would need to have a different foam insert for each trip for each gun and accessory. Below you will see what a great many sh...

Re: Bleiker on anschutz ALU?
The KK500 definitely looks like a winner. Walther is calling it the "Bleiker Buster" and unofficially the "Anschutz Annihilator". Rumor has it Anschutz is already working on a new rifle since the KK500 obliterates it in so many categories. lol The KK500 Alu stock also looks to be...

Re: Bleiker on anschutz ALU?
I would have done this switch if the Bleiker would fit into a 1918 (round action) Anschutz Precise stock. The 1918 Precise for the round action is narrower than the 2018 Precise for the square action Anschutz. It makes it unsuitable for the machining work necessary for installation of a Bleiker acti...

Re: Walther KK300
I just ordered a KK300 for my daughter (positional, junior shooter) and am wondering: 1) what bloop tube should I add to it? If any at all. a) what length should I get? b) is a tuner necessary? Or a will a tube be enough? c) how sturdy is carbon vs aluminum....this is for a jr shooter. 2) Any other...

Anschutz 54.30 Pricing
It's been updated on Anschutz North America's website if you haven't seen. $4595 with the Precise Stock. I think I'm sold on the KK500 however. It's not much more than the 54.30 and definitely offers more in terms of innovation and design and what's included with the rifle when you purchase it i.e. ...

I believe they'll also color match if you want a color that's not standard. If you're in the USA contact Shawn at McKenna...

Re: feinwerkbau 800x or walther lg 400 anatomic need help
All the air rifles available are capable of shooting 10s. It then comes down to personal preference. I have handled the FWB700, FWB800, Anschutz 8002 in standard aluminum stock, Anschutz 9003 in Precise Stock, LG400 in Anatomic Stock, and the LG400 in Alutec stock. I ended up getting the LG400 in th...

Re: Anschutz 54.30
It disappoints me that Anschutz is delivering a rifle that's not as shown on their promotional photos. Not that the finish will affect the performance of the rifle. But I really liked the polished look of the receiver from the official photos. This just looks like it skipped a step in production. Bu...

Hmmmm.....the receiver isn't all polished and shiny like it was in the debut photos. Or maybe it's just the lighting?

Where are you located? And what are your initial impressions of the barreled action?jbsoutar wrote:Finally arrived
It looks like it came with a bipod. Are they including it with the rifle?
Did they also include a new shorter bore guide?
Thanks

Re: Is this air rifle modification Legal?
The whole no palm rest on an air rifle rule always perturbs me. Isn't that what it is essentially? Each air rifle has one from Anschutz to Walther. It's a palm rest that we use while standing with the air rifle. It just can't exceed a certain depth. I've seen more than a few shooters actually take t...

Re: Olympic Air Rifle shooting in Los Angeles area?
The website for the Junior Shooting Program at the Los Angeles Rifle and Revolver Club is JuniorShooters.com. They are primarily focused on smallbore rifle, but have all the equipment needed for beginners so there is no need for a new shooter or shooters to purchase anything. It is a very good progr...

Re: International Shooting Comradeship
I agree. Shooters in these disciplines are amongst the kindest people I have ever met. I've not travelled as much as I would like but I have open invitations to shoot in Ireland, France, the Netherlands, and Serbia just to name a few. I just have to find time to actually travel for a bit. I never us...
