Svensta - The KK500 comes with a very nice new cleaning rod guide so you won't have any issues cleaning it with whatever you may have currently.svensta wrote:ShootWithStyle did you get a new cleaning kit for this rife or bore guide?
Will you just use what you have already?

Re: My KK500 has arrived (in California)
How will you be breaking in the barrel? My new KK500 should be with me end of next week (excited would be an understatement!). I've never had a new .22 rifle before so breaking in will be new to me. It's replacing my original 1981 Anschutz 1813 supermatch that I bought when I got into this sport 3 ...

Oh niiiccceeee. What are those plastic snap caps you are using? Modena - Those are just #4 plastic drywall anchors. They are of a sufficient size and shape that they make perfect dry firing snap caps. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/champcarstar/Smallbore%20Stuff/drywall_anchor_5604alloutdo...

Dr. Doctor, On behalf of the club let me offer our apologies as you have not gotten a reply. I believe that email you sent your original inquiry to is not being used at the moment. A better email to use would be the one contacting our Junior Club. Please check out JuniorShooters.com. This is the sit...

Nice. Am I right i thinking you've cast off the butt? As someone wirh a broad face who can't get behind the sights without excavating the cheekpiece and/or a hefty cant/ offset sights I'm rather envious of this feature. Tim! That's the one thing I actually didn't adjust. I left the parallelogram jo...

Re: My KK500 has arrived (in California)
After the mandatory 10 day hold that is imposed by the government of the State of California, I was able to take my KK500 home last night. So far it is everything I had hoped for. Of course, I dropped any plans I had last night and just worked on setting it up for prone. Using my Anschutz as a refer...

Re: Does anyone shoot in Southern California?
Hey all.. I have been having a headache over trying to find places to help me get started with olympic air rifle. I was wondering if anyone has any information on places that I can go to shoot. I would love to find a coach in my area that can help me... As I am completely new to the sport. I've tri...

Re: My KK500 has arrived (in California)
Thank you all. I'm very excited to be able to take it home in about a week and give everyone the full rundown. Lovely but just one question: your rifle does not appear to have the double swivel joint in the middle of the butt that that the early models had/have. Yours appears to have only one swivel...

My KK500 has arrived (in California)
After a long wait my KK500 has arrived! Many thanks to McKenna Shooting Sports for securing one for me and to Walther Arms as well. As I understand I'm currently one of only three shooters with a KK500 in the USA. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/champcarstar/Smallbore%20Stuff/20160401_180336...

Congratulations Imac! Getting the first one must be a real treat! You must be the envy of a great many shooters in New Zealand.imac wrote:I got lucky!!!! Managed to purchase the first one landed here number 60 made. I'm in New Zealand.

Where are you located Imac? Just curious.
KK500s are still elusive here in the USA.

Re: New Walther KK500???
For this, please refer back a page to the main photo kindly supplied by Shootwithstyle (i.e. to The Girl with the Pearl Earring), and apologies for two questions a bit off topic. Is she using a Centra Duplex on her rearsight, and if so are Duplexes common at international level? And is her very con...

Re: New Walther KK500???
That's a really nice group at 100 yards. I really want to see what the 54.30 does in a 50m 60 shot prone match. And even more I would like to see what kind of groups it shoots during ammo batch testing. Are you using yours for prone, 3P, or benchrest? So far the only 54.30 I have seen in competition...

You can also download posters from Heinz's website: http://www.heinzreinkemeier.de/poster/ There are several available such as the one below. They are available in English and can be reproduced without asking for permission. The file size is sufficient to make poster sized prints. There is an entire...

Oh I understand where it's coming from David. I'm the one that originally posted that it's coming from the IOC and not the ISSF.
But I couldn't pass up an opportunity to use my ISSF joke. lol

Re: 2020 Olympic to drop FR60PR
See! Equal numbers, three more events and there are enough quotas (in rifle anyway, I don't know enough about P & SH) to make a decent-sized high quality firing line in each event. If I can do that during my lunch break at work, I'm sure the folks at the IOC and ISSF could come up with a more r...

Re: 2020 Olympic to drop FR60PR
What you are hearing unfortunately is true. In my talks with ISSF officials here in the USA, they confirm discussion about eliminating these events. Other topics brought up were banning the shooting trousers...again. Also changing the finals format again since the start from zero final still has man...

Re: Calculating shipping cost
I have shipped my rifle from California (Zip Code 90638) to Killough Shooting Sports in Winters, TX (Zip Code 79567). As I recall it was around $55 for me to ship it via Ground Service. Value of $4000 declared for insurance purposes. While I have no doubt that some UPS personnel may advise you that ...
