Re: New Pardini SP Trigger
yup - it does that - helps to have a handy allen wrench 'on the line' or a dab of locktite or a dab of goop from the 'nail decorator' of the household. (I pilfered an apparently 'not in fashion anymore' bottle)

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
I have weighed TB Bullets (the dipnet technique).
Oldcaster - how do you factor in the lubricant weight? The 62gr TB bullet has 0.2gr lube in the groove (approx)

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
in answer to the .3gr cohort question..... (before I shell out for a dopplar chrono...) I ran up a spreadsheet to calculate the theoretical muzzle velocity changes if the mass of the bullet changes .3gr from the base load - I assumed Ek (Kintetic energy .5M* V2) is constant (I Used Kg for Mass and m...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
An insightful post 6string and I too, am thinking about how a lack of pressure could have caused the problem, however, the failure was when I was using the 'PRO' dieset from Redding which does not need the resizing after the dedicated crimp die. It was the seat / crimp die of the original Redding di...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
(slightly drifting off topic for a single post look upon it as 'show and tell' if you feel inclined...). The only knowing round I shot with water affecting the charge, was last year. My father passed his 1844 Stürmer target pistol to me (once owned by the Maharaja Bahadur of the Benaries whose famil...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
Water is highly unlikely, (unfired) cases dropped from a feeder and powder only in the funnel for the duration of the loading and all the powder was dry - plays on the mind though.... I am minded to try a few 1000 rounds of magnum-load primers and see what happens....

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
Apologies if this has been discussed (I scanned the thread and did a quick forum search and came up blank...). I recently acquired a 32acp conversion for one of my frames and as my SDB does not support 32acp, I plumped for a 650. As an aside... Dillon supplied Redding dies and I had trouble with the...

Re: 9mm pardini light loads
With the 45acp slide - the GT6-II will punch out the 10 ring. Put the 9mm slide on it and the rounds are all over the place - a #84 ISSf precision at 25m (bedsheet) will just about hold the 124gr S&B (yup - the bedsheet), my 115gr reloads will hold the black and after a colleague cleaned the NRA...

Am watching this thread with interest: I have the 9mm slide for a GT45 II-6 and am struggling to find an accurate load

Re: Pardini SP 2016 "all in one" series
Yep - the barrel shroud comes off - but all the conversions use the same rear sight (and it is not swappable like a Walther). Not sure if this is a problem but I would be interested to hear views.

9mm slide on a Pardini GTII45-6 Accuracy
My Pardini GT45-6 shooting 200gr SWC is superbly accurate; so I bought a 9mm slide and unexpectedly have huge accuracy problems. Factory 124gr has a 17" group off a rest at 25m and the 115gr is better (it will hold the black) but I expected holding the 10 @ 25m. Has anyone solved the GTII-45-6 ...

Re: Larry Trigger on Xesse
Ah - yes - I asked Larry for the size of the Allen wrench and I suspect they don't know for sure. I reckon the adjuster is the same as for a Pardini (the PS screw) - for those without the odd Pardini kicking around, I popped down to the basement (while writing) and mic'd the small hex wrench and it ...

Re: Larry Trigger on Xesse
Yep, you have to take the grip off and fiddle a long allen wrench from the back of the frame into the middle spring adjuster in the screw behind the trigger. My kit didn't come with the extra long hex wrench and it is a swine to adjust if you don't have one. Also, once adjusted - put a drop of lacqu...

Re: Britarms 2000 MkII Jamming
My Father (with a fit of patriotism) bought a Britarms pistol and had nothing but trouble with it (back to the factory etc), and so, after a dose of reality, dumped it and bought a Hammerli (and never looked back). All a bit moot as everything got crushed by the police. If you could ask him for his ...

Re: High $ ammo
Hey Morten, great link - the pictures give me flashbacks. Although not an expert in these matters - I recently spent some quality time with a Ransom Rest and a bunch of ammo - including 4-5 lots of Tenex Pistol, Practice, Rifle, SK Standard Plus, RWS and a few odds and sods run separately through Pa...

Re: Walther SSP or Pardini SP New
My SP-RF was noticeably nose-heavier than my SSP - until this evening when I took out all 6 tungsten weights. Very light now. I know Shiloh mentioned it - I am slow on the uptake.

Re: 45 Wadcutter gun
The title says '45 Wadcutter gun" but in the body you add 1911 - there are other target grade 45s with fully adjustable triggers out there as standard.... Although you seem set on a 1911, there are options...
