Re: Just unbelievable!!

I think "cricman" has his share of truth, although I believe (having been a competitive sportman in water sports) thet genetics may have a substantial importance, i.e. you have never seen (or I've never heard of) a succesful black swimner or waterpolo player, and this could be due to phys...

Re: Just unbelievable!!

How do these people do?? I mean, where do they find the drive to stay on the top after fulfilling what is almost every shooter´s dream? The shooting sports are dominated by asian and caucasian people, I think it's in their genetics, just like basketball is dominated by blacks/afro-americans... I'm ...

What is the hardness of your donor material? Will it need to be heat treated?

Re: Upcoming new sport pistols

With the interest (and Olympic success) of ISSF pistol shooting in China I have long hoped that we would see a new entry-level inexpensive .22 target pistol emerge from that country. Alas I've been waiting ten years to no avail. There was this venture (Google Translated link which hopefully remains...

Re: Olympic Target Pistol

How about this addition to the Jianshe EMEI line: http://www.emfirearms.com/uploads/allimg/150212/4-150212113U90-L.jpg They call it a Slow-fire Pistol. I bet Morini called it something else, right before they called their attorney. It comes complete with electronic trigger! Of course, there are very...

Re: Anybody have a new FAS 6004?

I can't believe all of these negative reviews, considering these words from the Airguns of Arizona website: " The FAS 6004 by Chiappa Firearms. This single stroke target grade pistol has won many International championships with its recoilless action and superb trigger. " It sounds like I ...

The Team Shooting Stars program, in Dallas, holds PTO matches periodically and includes 50M pistol. They shoot at Dallas Pistol and Revolver Club. Check out their website: https://www.teamshootingstars.org/ They used to hold a 50M pistol match once a month at Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club, as we...

Re: Any pictures of a disassembled Steyr LP-1 Regulator?

Unless you are having issues with CO2 (I know it can be a little laborious to fill), why change? The LP-1 in CO2, especially the second generation variant, is a great gun and fully capable of world class results. The only wrinkle with sticking with CO2 would be showing up at a significant level even...

Awesome

Outstanding job! He was competing with not only excellent junior shooters, but experienced, world class competitors (who just happen to be juniors) as well. If you watch ISSF TV, you'll recognize Lukas Grunder, as he has made several finals in World Cup events. Keep up the good work, young Mr. Brown...

Thank you very much for the reply. I have heard some great things about the fwb p34 and p30 especially for the price. Do you know how long ago they were made? Is it a fairly new model of air pistol? Off of the top of the ol' noggin, I want to say P-34 was around from about 1997 to about 2000. The P...

I used a P34 for a few years. It is, like most Feinwerkbau Pistols, well made. The Absorber was interesting. I had the first variation, and the stock grip was typical of FWB fare at the time; lackluster, at best. The trigger was decent. I didn't like the balance, so I removed the barrel shroud and a...

Although still very usable, their resale value may suffer because of their age. Both will be 12 years old sometime this year; two years older than the "dreaded" 10 year rule! Browse this thread: http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?t=20799&highlight=year+cylinder Good Luck, cricman

I'm a little torn on this one. I see the need to garner interest in the International Shooting disciplines. But, let's think about this. Who goes to Nationals? People with specialized equipment that is expensive. People that have concentrated on a specific skill type (Slow fire or multishot.) People...

Winchester should re-label the Eley-Primed Aguila and call it T-3 (As in trilateral; Mexico, England and the USA). If they could keep the price down, like USA Market Eley Sport, I'd buy it as practice ammo. I don't even like T-22 anymore. Oh well!

Strange practice concerning posts

Hey Mods / Scott, Not a criticism but a curiousity; I was just wondering why it takes a moderator time to approve a post before it appears in the Buy/Sell/Trade section, but an unregistered guest can instantly post material that is profance, obscene, and commercial in nature in other areas, like the...

Hey Jack,

I replied to your PM.

As for the backstop. If 2x4s failed in testing, 2x6s should certainly do the trick, and only a bit more to upgrade in lumber and sand.

Take care,
