I can understand the equal pistol weight logic for those who shoot both FP and AP. Now that FP is being relegated to museums, does this mean that more shooters are likely to start experimenting with lighter air pistols like the LP400 Carbon?

Buy the LP400 in the first instance, and save yourself a lot of hassle (and money) in the long term. Meanwhile, the AP20 was deliberately designed to look like an amateur pistol. In reality, it's highly functional and extremely accurate.

I'm not convinced there have been any changes to the trigger mechanism. My K12 dates from around July 2015. It's the same great trigger; super crisp and responsive, ideal for releasing that "surprise shot." How do you make improvements to a brilliant trigger?

Fred, "lazy fools" (your words, not mine) should not be encouraged to go anywhere near any type of firearm. Equally, Walther don't feel the need to manufacture pistols for such people.
