If all that mattered in setting the sights was being sure you got only 10s when the gun was locked down on a bench, they could have done that at the factory. The reason they don't is that people and benches behave differently. The most important missing information is a description of what kind of g...

I'd start by contacting Walther Germany:
Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen
P.O. Box 2740, D-59717 Arnsberg
E-Mail: info@carl-walther.de
Alternately, I'm told the NRA has an extensive library of firearms manuals and can provide copies. But sorry, I don't have a specific contact to send you to.

If the ammunition doesn't harm the gun ... I think that's the point. Conventional wisdom is that high velocity ammunition tends to beat up a fine gun unnecessarily. I don't know how true that really is, but as the owner of 4 Pardinis, I know I paid a lot of money for some very fine guns and I'd lik...

Then I hope you'll give it a try and go investigate this new club. You might be pleasantly surprised to find they're completely open and receptive. I hope so. At the club I'm at out here in WA, I know I'd be appalled and amazed and quite frankly, pretty angry if I learned that someone was having pro...

It's possible HR 1022 will pass, along with a lot of other idiotic gun control crap, but I think it's too soon to tell. I agree, it's too bad there wasn't even one armed individual in there who might have stopped this, both because it's sad that so many young, innocent people were killed and because...

In prone (and kneeling) shooting the jacket supports the sling, so that it does not sag. This means that the sling does not have to be tourniquet-tight around the arm to stay up. It also isolates the sling and, to a lesser degree, the gun as well from the shooter's pulse and breathing. In prone, si...

Re: rapid and timed fire better than slow fire
My rapid fire and timed fire scores are usually better than my slow fire scores. ... I have talked with other bullseye shooters who have the same situation. This is REALLY common. In timed and rapid, you're pulling the trigger smoothly, without any hesitation. In slow fire, you're experiencing &quo...

The 2007 USAS General Technical Rules document, available on the USAS site, contains images of all the various targets. They aren't actual size, but certainly, you should be able to scale them. The 10m AR target is shown in section 6.3.2.3. Go to the USA Shooting site but DO NOT login. (Inexplicably...

I also have trouble seeing the front sight in poor overhead lighting conditions. I prefer a lot of light over the sights. That's my experience, too, and I really need to do something about it. I don't have nearly enough lighting over my shooting position in my basement range. In the day, when I hav...

Try J-B Bore Paste. Great stuff. Don't overdo it, as it a lapping compound, but my experience is that it makes short work of most hard deposits. If you can get a patch in there with some of the paste worked into it, e.g., in a barrel or on a ramp, that's the way to go. But if you can't get in there ...

LP10 cocking lever won't stay latched
My LP10 has been a pure delight through 6 years and tens of thousands of shots but has suddenly become a bit cranky: The cocking lever isn't latching closed all the time anymore. I'll cock the gun, put in a pellet and close the latch only to have it pop up into the dry fire position. I've pulled off...

I think that is unusual. The firing pins in the SP and SP New are identical. I have one of each. I've had the SP for about 6 years and many tens of thousands of rounds. The SP New has a few thousand rounds through it. I know I should count my rounds but in truth, I'm terrible at doing that, so I end...

I agree with the previous responses. This does not sound typical and I also would be suspicious of the ammo or perhaps a genuine mechanical problem with the extractor. My own experience is that I've had my K22 for 8 months without any problems whatsoever. I've run around 4,000 rounds through it and ...

I briefly experimented with contacts for a while and expected they'd be great for shooting -- right up until I actually went shooting with them.
