Re: Pardini SP RF Problem

Faced a similar situation where the barrel on a four year old very-well-maintained Pardini had to be replaced. This, I believe, is a manufacturing problem stemming from the use of improperly hardened steel. The bolt hammers the softer metal on the chamber, causing several problems.

Re: Which has a better trigger ?

So, just like a woman, there's always one better out there. So just keep swapping. I have owned a FWB 65, FWB 2, Styer LP1, Walther CMP2, Walther LP200, Styer LP10, Pardini K12 and now a Morini 162ei. They have all had great triggers. They broke clean and once set, not one of them changed over the p...

Re: Open Invitation to Shoot International Pistol (Indoors)

Again, if you want to attend you must go to the link below and put your own name into the relay you want. Be sure to allow enough time to shoot each course of fire before you sign up for the next one. If you are shooting at two different ranges, I'd allow at least half an hour just because of parkin...

Re: How to find matches

nonobaddog, You can enter the zone of recruiting a volunteer or two to run matches, or even step up to be the match director. You can shoot on a relay, if you can train someone to run the range for you. The demise of "paper" shooting-both International and Bullseye can be reversed if we ge...

Re: Alfred Lane

Here's another one who swapped hands:

Capt. Franklin C. Green: He held the "Bullseye" record for a while with a score of 2665. He injured his left hand so he switched to his right hand and broke 2660 with his right hand. He became National Champion in 1968.

Thanks. I had never heard of the name Takacs before and heard this story by word of mouth a long time ago.

Alfred Lane

Anyone know of a good bio for Alfred Lane, a two time Olympian in shooting with five gold medals? I recall hearing that he was a right handed shooter, winning gold in the 1912 Olympics, went to WWI and lost the use of his right hand. He then went to the 1920 Olympics and took gold again.

Re: Number of Magazines for 2700 .22 course

I've been at a few ranges like that. One range had a white line drawn that could not be crossed. Frustrating when you can't adjust your scope, write down your score, get more staples, pick up brass, etc. But, everyone else on the line are in the same boat.

Re: Number of Magazines for 2700 .22 course

That's what I do. But, I score quickly and get back quickly too. Still pick up brass. Which reminds me that I have a brass catcher for sale.

Re: Number of Magazines for 2700 .22 course

I have shot many matches with one magazine. I prefer two, though. Never have used three. Gunbox is heavy enough as it is, LOL.
