Re: Postal Match
If you hqve Facebook, you might also look at "10M Pistol Competition League". We have shooters of all ages (I am 70) from around the world that compete in monthly events. You will find different threads from "How to sign up" to "Submitting your targets". You can also em...

Re: Do You Evaluate Your Shots in a Match?
I think of a match as a "performance". If I am shootng well, I don't dwell on each shot. If I have a lapse, I will dry fire a few times to get back in the performance mode, then back to performing in the match.

Re: Sight Alignment - Help Pls.
Hello Andrew53 It is all about seeing and focusing on the front sight. If your eyesight is such that you can focus on the front sight (I mean really see the front sight perfectly clear) then it will help this process if you take the time to "black" both the front and rear sights with the f...

Re: A query to experienced shooters
Sportpistol, I believe you have to integrate those three items. If you are thinking about them as finite items, then you are not allowing your subconscious to deql with it correctly. Remember that the human brain only does 2 things simultaneously, well. Add a third, and it tends to fall apart. Final...

Re: The Perfect Coach
Hello Elmas, I presume you are looking for some help and so a frank assessment of your situation will be seen in the correct light. 1. A good coach will have a more than basic understanding of the grounding principles of pistol shooting. This includes position, anatomical alignment, breathing, prese...

Re: Steyr Air Pistols (1) Original C02, (2) Converted to Sc
Nothing wrong with the pistols, particulalry for pople starting out. LP1 -CO2 sell for a little less than th converted ones. You can still buy th conversion kit to convert CO2 to PCP as well.
Send me a PM so I can get more info from you.

Just a simple extra suggestion. I have found that a little extra white space between the bull and the front sight orifice, will help greatly.

Re: FWB Air Cylinder thread
Use a very fine 60 degree file to "dress" the thread, and then chase the threads with the proper die. Chasing the threads is vital, as you do not want to damage the threads in the receiver.

Re: Front sight picture blurry
Here is something that happened to me that is somewhat related. I suffer from a small defect to the lens in my right eye lens, which is my dominant eye. Under normal circumstances it does not materially affect my ability to see. However, I use a +1.5 diopter shooting lens in order to better focus on...

Elmas
Try the following: take a candle and thoroughky blacken the sights on your pistol. Create a shade difference between the sight and th target bull. This will help keep your focus/concentration on the front sight when it counts.

Re: Twitch Shot in 10 Meter Air Pistol
Chipeck Here a couple of ideas that have really helped my shooting. I am no young shooter at age 69, but constantly striving to improve. The occasional bad shot, for whatever reason has been the singlemlargest disappointment of my shooting experience. I recent had a new grip made by Cesare Morini. I...

Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???
Perhaps it is not in the best interest of Trace to enter into a direct comparison with SCATT? Yes, SCATT hold the major market share, but purely competing head-to-head may not be the answer. Trace may be trying to differentiate its product by carving out a different niche. Perhaps it is the capabili...

Re: Times to release
To get back to the original question about transit time from release of trigger to end of barrel/comoensator, Cesare Morini's design concept for the MGH1 pistol dealt precisely with this time frame. The direct air feed feature of this pistol reduced the transit time by some 30-35% according to his r...

Hello David, Fancy running across you here! Just thinking outside the box, mate! I have no idea whatsoever whether it woukd do any good or not, but that has never stopped me from exploring the possibility. There are many inventions, which when first thought of, were met with skepticism and derision....

Re: Times to release
I must remember this line.
""Trying to "ambush" the bull as it wanders by is doomed to failure""
I refer to this as "chasing the bull", but I believe the above phrase is much more descriptive.

Re: Sight hoods
Rover, Taking your idea a bit further, would that also prohibit the use of sights like the new floating front sight as marketed by Tec-Hro for rifles on a pistol? This is a sight specifically designed without a "tunnel" and thus has nothing above the sighting element. The idea would be to ...

Elmas, Great, refreshing attitude!! I can tell you for one that I found exactly what you are asking for in my personal training with Dina Aspandiyarova in Australia. She is always patient, concerned, supportive, but also quite firm on what is expected of you as her student. I had a similar situation...

Re: Definition of a COACH
David M, Why don't you start that ball rolling by illustrating what "you" would want in a coach? After all that is a pretty wide window, depending on where you are on the development scale as a shooter. If you are a beginner, you may need help with technical matters. This could be fitting ...
