Re: Thoughts on the new Walther LP500 models?

I saw live the lp500 in Gyor (European Champs). But not tried to shoot. Interchangeable trigger mech/elec. sounds sexy. Tried dry firing elec. trigger (designed by Khadjibekov Artem) and I didn't like it. Something shakes and wobbles in the pistol frame during the click. May be someone find it super...

Re: LP10 getting 75 shots

The realistic consumption is approx. 1 bar per shot with light 4.49 pellet @ 155m/s (about 100 shots from 200 to 100 bar). Or about 70 shots with 4.51 and heavy 8.18gr pellet @155m/s (from 200 to 100 bar) Steyr valve's pressure is 70 bar. If the pressure in the cylinder drops below 70 bar - the syst...

Re: .32 wadcutter, accurate bullet?

Greetings, More bad news regarding the H&N... "The production line for WC .32 at H&N in Ukraine is broken. They don't know when it will be fixed. Do you guys still want to wait for it?" My second choice would be the Speer 98 HBWC. If your barrel is truly 0.312", the 0.313&quo...

Re: need reloading data for Pardini GT9 6 inch

Hi morten! Since two weeks we have GT9 in our family and I am searching for reloading data. I calculated reloading data using your info. Did you measured the V0? I want to load so precise and low powered as possible. But in the same time we have our local regulations and it is not allowed to compete...

I usually take mini nail for such purposes. But file (cut) the peak before use :-)

Rapid fire target will not work due to lack of sufficient white area/frame around the black target.

Scatt offers long mounting belts. See pic..

Re: NEW SCATT MODEL???

Test by argus 100% represents my own opinion. I tried trace device in Munich (World Cup 17). The test device was presented by trace representative(!) in the area in front of 10m hall entrance. And don't say that setup that time was also wrong. I saw delayed in time zig zag path like a saw by my own ...

Re: KINETIC- Revolutionary Shooting Training System!

Cool device. But I cannot imagine application or benefits in training process. Usual hobby shooter - capable of self-analysis - after a couple of months of training can feel and control good her/his body and muscles. "The device" is already available --> vestibular system. For example if a...

All that glitters is not gold. Be carefull. Re: S&W 14-2 for center-fire pistol

RJP, I have tested the 105gr loads where tip of bullet is pushed 3mm below edge of the shell. Magtech factory WC loads had better accuracy than those test loads but with a lot harder recoil. Those 105gr bullets were cast for airgun use (soft lead) and sized to .357. No lube on test load bullets eit...

Hm. I am not really sure who uses whose idea but first appearance of basic scatt version was in the mid 2015. Cheaper version without adjustable optics and primitive software for schools. Here is youtube link from 2015: https://youtu.be/tKQ9AEXmFbg?t=15s http://www.scatt.ru/training-systems/124/scat...

Re: Trace system

Wanted to buy one. Then tested device in Munich. Unfortunately no.. thanks. Line tracing/rendering is not smooth (saw effect). Housing looks cheap (3D printed). The end of the story - I bought scatt basic for 100 Euros more.

Re: Pellet Testing... AGAIN!

Does that (relatively small) difference in velocity make much of a difference? I am relatively inexperienced, but I've been of the opinion that tight groups were the most important thing with a match pistol (or rifle). Regardless of the velocity as long as it's not overly low or high. Try it once. ...

Re: Pellet Testing... AGAIN!

Difference: 0.18275433375 mm So, the slower pellet will drop 0.2 mm further than the faster pellet. You're probably describing an ideal system. Pellets get unstable during the flight at certain velocities (pellet specific thing). Barrel twist.. velocity... pellet mass.. etc. In my particular case I...

Re: Pellet Testing... AGAIN!

The right way - i would say - is to select proper: - ammo - velocity - barrel (In this order). Tests without shooting chronograph are misleading. I did a test last week for a buddy. 10 shots. 9 of them 152-153m/s and one of them 159m/s was a "flyer" to the right 6-7mm from main group. Etc....
