Hello ScottF, Sorry for my late reply. So far I haven't found any real difference as far as fit and finish between the 604 and 6004. None of my FAS pistols have any left right play in the hinge area. Regarding pellets, I didn't find the RWS Basics or even Meisterkuglens to group as well as the JSB 7...

I have attached a few photos of my pistols. I've kept them in order with the oldest 604 to the left, the newer 604 in the middle and the 6004 on the right. I just got my 6004 today. I also have two FAS 604s. I ordered the 6004 with the ambi grips because the factory large grips on my 604 were to small so I thought I would play it safe.
