I had one but now I use a brass cleaning rod with no attachment. It catches the spring well enough to remove the wedge. If you still want to make one I'd suggest using pvc, instead of steel. You may want to test a few more types of BB's I try to find the barrel BB combination that groups inside the 9 ring and have had good luck getting even tighter than that 1/2 is almost a maximum group size.
