Re: .22 Ammo For Free Pistols That Won't Stick in Chamber?
I have a CM84 that I use for Free Pistol, and oddly, it works best with US brands, rather than European .22. I have an old lot of Federal Champion 22 that works great, and for matches I use Federal Gold Medal 711B. Both work really well for feeding and easy extracting after firing. And buying differ...

Re: Walther GSP 500
I was really excited about this pistol because I currently use an SP20 for international and bullseye and absolutely love it, but it's getting harder and harder to keep them running. I shoot a lot and wear out parts. I've had to resort to buying used pistols to get parts. But now that Washington Sta...

If I read correctly H.R.1808 The Assault Weapons Ban, also makes many Standard/Sport Target Pistols Illegal
Not a lawyer, but if I interpret the bill correctly, a lot of European Target Pistols will now become illegal to import and then ultimately transfer or sell in the US. Because of the language written to try and best identify AR style pistols, many common sport and standard pistols will now be illega...

Re: GSP500
I for one am thrilled at this new pistol. I've been shooting an SP-20 for the last 10 years and it is the best of all the pistols out there. I have just about every modern sport/standard pistol in production, and I keep coming back to my SP-20 for the following reasons. 1) It works. It just works. N...

Thanks for all of the input. I've got one on order through Neal Stepp at ISS.

Where to buy a Morini CM22RF in the United States?
I've been shooting an SP20 for the past number of years and love the gun, but I just broke my second slide, and I'm going to have to rebuild the sights again because two screws have sheared of again. It's reliable and goes bang with just about every ammo, but I'm getting tired of continually buying ...

The 50mm Celestron will work just fine for indoor shooting. It's what I first bought when I got started because it had the angled eyepiece and it was a reasonable price. I haven't replaced it yet. I shoot mostly pistol and even shoot FP at night on 25yd reduced targets with lights and I can see the ...

I think the Ruger 22/45 is a nightmare of a gun. All of the safety/disconnect features, in my opinion, do not make it a good gun for Bullseye use. Not to mention how difficult it is to re-assemble. Given how much you like the 1911 .45 and it's grip angle, I think the best you could do is build yours...

Yes, there are a number of clubs that actively participate in pistol in Seattle. And, for a US city, we actually have quite an active international pistol scene in addition to a very healthy Bullseye contingent. We just finished an 8 week air pistol league and will be starting an outdoor standard pi...

I started with a Trailside and earned Master in Bullseye with it and now I use an SP20. I also use that for Standard Pistol and have earned Master rank in that event as well. In a nutshell the SP20 has a slightly tighter group, but other than that, the unique purpose built features haven't really do...

No from the rules standpoint. You can shoot any size you want. It's really a question of what you prefer, and you might have to try them both for a while to see what you like. Personally I like a big dot. I bought the Ultradot Match Dot which is available with 2, 4, 6 and 8 moa size dots. I bought i...

I have the iM2400. It is big enough to carry my LP@ air pistol and my SP20 standard pistol and all of the gear for a couple of matches. Includes the basics like ammo, tools, spotting scope, etc. But it's a tight fit. If I were to include a full international set, including my Morini FP and a .32 Cen...

My LP@ does that too. It has done that since new as does my friend's LP@ that I used to borrow before I bought mine. And every LP10 that I've looked at as well. My pistol shoots just fine. I imagine it is some design inherent to the pistol. I remember reading through the manual to see if a comment o...

I just got an LP@ and it does indeed have a ported barrel. To the best of my knowledge, there are 2 versions of the pistol. The first production articles had a non-ported barrel. At some point they have been changed and now have a ported barrel. So if you are buying used, and you want porting, just ...
