You can join a CMP affiliated club. That would allow you to receive the CMP pricing. There is a way to search for affiliated clubs on the CMP website.

Re: Will my age be a problem?
Yep, you're going to get beat by 12-year-olds. And you're going to get beat by people in their seventies. And you're going to get beat by girls, both teenage and octogenarian. And by boys of all age groups. And all of that is true no matter YOUR age! Isn't that the truth! ... I wish there were an N...

Re: Sight riser advice for FWB C60
Would it make sense to buy something like the Centra Block Club adjustable risers (10-22mm rise)? I found a distributor who sells the Centra Block Club for Anschutz for $80.
If I had to purchase two sets of blocks to stack, it would pay for this Centra setup, wouldn't it?

Sight riser advice for FWB C60
I recently picked up a Feinwerkbau C60 that I will be shooting 4P with in a winter indoor league, and am very excited about this rifle. I do feel that I need a set of sight risers. In offhand with the butt plate dropped as low as it goes, I would like to hold my head more erect instead of scrunching...

Re: Inexpensive Spotting Scope
We've had good luck with these little Celestron 52320 Landscout scopes. http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B73JXKC When I say little, I really do mean little (8.75" long) and very lightweight (14.2 ounces). From what I can tell, other than having the Celestron logo on the side they are iden...

Re: Resources for mastering the kneeling position?
Both Position Rifle Shooting and The New Position Rifle Shooting by Bill Pullum and Frank Hanenkrat do an excellent job of describing the variations of the kneeling position. I also know a very experienced competitor/coach who emphasizes that shooting pants help with stability in the kneeling positi...

Re: 4-P course of fire
Here are the links I found. The rulebook appears to say, for four position indoor you can choose your order, yet for four position outdoor it specifies the order. Page 17 & 18 of the smallbore rulebook (section 7.3 for conventional and 7.5 for metric) address this. The rulebook says for conventi...

Re: Inwhat competitions were ISU Standard Smallbore Rifles u
That is the history lesson I was looking for. Thank you!
It is amazing how many different rifle weight and trigger weight requirements there have been and how they continue to evolve, both in Europe and North America. There are so many different rifle sports it is hard to keep up.

Inwhat competitions were ISU Standard Smallbore Rifles used?
I am curious what, if anything, happened to the ISU/UIT Standard Smallbore Rifle and what type of competition was/is it used in? I shoot a BSA MKII in NRA 4-p and prone indoor and have shot 300 meter high power twice, but am somewhat new to formal precision target shooting. I have read about several...

I have a friend who shoots at our club using a Savage MKII FVT for our winter 4P and prone league. After our last match of the spring, he was considering modifying his MKII to help in our discipline. I remembered reading of a few people who modified their MKII's for biathlon and told him I would sen...

Re: Competition after college?
From my searching there isn't much out there, or is there something I don't know? Would I be better off selling the Walther and getting a .22? (I'd hate to do this as this gun is so sweet) This past season, the organizer of our growing indoor postal league gave competitors the option of using an ai...
