Re: Pardini k60

Back in the day, I shot every CO2 pistol available including successive models within brands, from Walther, to FWB to Pardini K60 to Steyr. I've kept two of them and that's all... my Steyr LP1-P and my Pardini K60 In addition to what others have written regarding K60 accuracy, availability of parts,...

Re: Fas6004 vs IZH 46m

I would not recommend the 6004 until they have fixed the quality issues. The Izzy is a great pistol, but the up front heaviness maybe a problem for you. If it is possible, cancel the order on the Avanti 747. Have you thought about a FWB 65, match CO2 or pcp guns? Agreed. I would cancel the Avanti 7...

Re: IZH-46 m dumb questions

How much does the IZH-46m weigh? In Grams or Oz, either way doesn't matter. Use a good scale. please.

I've been impressed with how this pistol works. But every time I pick one up, I'm always impressed with how much it weighs... So I'm curious to see a real number, please.

Re: ISSF Air Pistol and Safety

A young shooter came to a local free pistol match a few years back. He'd shot air pistol in college, and borrowed a free pistol from one of the organizers of the match. He was in the habit of not only resting his finger on the trigger while his air pistol was on the bench, but actually taking up th...

Re: ISSF Air Pistol and Safety

I see no problem transferring back and forth between slow-fire 10m and firearms. Back in the day, I shot more than 20,000 rounds of pellets through a Steyr 10m pistol every year, using the trigger control noted. However (here in the states) I instinctively place the trigger finger on the trigger gua...

Re: Any pictures of a disassembled Steyr LP-1 Regulator?

I've seen folks on this site who would prefer a CO2 gun. Just sell it and buy a PCP. You could swap grips, too. Thanks for the advice. I think I'll keep my low serial number "CO2 Match" for its sentimental value, and either modify it (just for engineering fun) or buy one or more PCP Steyr...

Re: Here is my TOZ-35...

I assume you purchased the toz from Big Bear. No. I purchased my Steyr from another shooter from Oklahoma. We both attended the annual week-long shooter's camp at the (then NRA) Olympic Shooting Center in Colo. Springs. I went two years (1990-1991), so don't remember which year I bought the pistol....

Re: Here is my TOZ-35...

The Team Shooting Stars program, in Dallas, holds PTO matches periodically and includes 50M pistol. They shoot at Dallas Pistol and Revolver Club. Check out their website: https://www.teamshootingstars.org/ They used to hold a 50M pistol match once a month at Haltom City Rifle and Pistol Club, as w...

Re: Here is my TOZ-35...

Very beautiful pistol, a work of art so to speak. I also love the box for the pistol, did you make it? I might copy the box, for my Hammerli 208 and accessories. Rob As slofyr notes, everything pictured (the box, tools, cleaning kit, etc) is factory supplied. His link to spare boxes is quite a find...

Re: Any pictures of a disassembled Steyr LP-1 Regulator?

DFWdude, this is what you're looking for?: Thanks, Kevin. This helps a lot. I've looked for the corresponding parts list, which describes the individual parts. I know what o-rings and Belleville washers look like. But the remaining parts and how they fit together is just guesswork atm. Would you (a...

Here is my TOZ-35...

Here are some photos of my TOZ-35, which I purchased in 1990 or 1991... s/n ABN-1836, or ABNI-836. Can't tell for sure. My best match with it was a 548/600, shot in 2012 inside at 25yds using the proper reduced target. Not quite the same as shooting outside at 50m, where my average was typically 15-...

Re: Any pictures of a disassembled Steyr LP-1 Regulator?

Unless you are having issues with CO2 (I know it can be a little laborious to fill), why change? The LP-1 in CO2, especially the second generation variant, is a great gun and fully capable of world class results. The only wrinkle with sticking with CO2 would be showing up at a significant level eve...

No doubt about this fact. My interest is to compare the regulator designs not the complete pistols. Both of these regulator designs are very compact, which is what interests me.

Any pictures of a disassembled Steyr LP-1 Regulator?

Does anyone have any pictures of a disassembled Steyr LP-1 Regulator? Parts layout, etc? I have a CO2 LP1-P and am considering converting it to compressed air. Also, there is a Chinese pistol under development (Sport pistol, not a match gun). It appears to have a similar regulator to the Steyr, so I...

Re: Has anyone here resealed a Feinwerkbau PCP Cylinder?

If you take one apart you will most likely be voiding the hydro testing certification. A cylinder is still safe with a small leak....but I'm no lawyer. You need a flat wrench for the gauge end, and a pin spanner for the valve end. 1) There is no Hydro testing required in the US for cylinders less t...

Has anyone here resealed a Feinwerkbau PCP Cylinder?

I believe Feinwerkbau has used the same design for it's PCP match gun cylinders since 1997 or so... P70, P70FT, P800 (current) etc. Hoping that someone here has had occasion to reseal these cylinders. This one is old, but it does hold air, despite a small, inaudible leak. I have searched high and lo...

There's something to be said about aesthetics. The Hardware store epoxies will work, but they come in a variety of colors (yellow, green, red, etc) that you may not like. Further, they tend to set very hard, and are not easy to carve. The Tuf-Fill Mahogany product mentioned earlier looks similar to ...

You maybe better off using a regular semi-automatic target pistol, adjust the trigger to the lightest setting. I have seen quite a few people using semi-automatic for FP matches. I have seen semi-auto pistols used in FP before, and it can be done. But it can be very tedious, because of the rules, w...
