Thanks for the info. After looking at the photo - it looks like item #8 is only 399 Euros. Of couse I don't speak German, so possibly thats just the price for a .22 calibre toaster. However, if it's not, 399 Euros ($509 US) seems like a great price for an IZH-35 with an anatomical grip. Yup - that'...

For what it is worth, Frankonia in Germany stock and sell the IZH-35 (or IJ35 as it is there - same thing). They do it as a "standard" grade, "tuned" (where they call it the Frankonia Favorit) and also "tuned with a snazzy two-tone finish". Frankonia happily sell pisto...

Looks like I spoke too soon about the ability to 'easily' purchase an IZH-35. Unfortunately the FloridaGunworks lead was a dead-end. I just contacted FGW (florida gunworks) and as others have pointed out - they do NOT have any IZH-35's in stock and was told to check back later. Since EAA is definite...

Any Recent News on the Ability to get a IZH-35 Repaired?

A quick email (yesterday) to EAA Corp confirmed that they (EAA Corp) still have no plans to re-import the IZH-35 to the USA. Thanks to expert advice on this forum - it looks like you still can actually find a few IZH-35's for sale. However, I'm concerned about whether (or not) I'll be able to get an...

Our situation up here is a bit different , a new Ruger would cost more than in the US , aftermarket parts would be both a PITA to locate and costly . I've seen used GSP's in the 1200-1000 .00 $ Can. range . A pimped out , competition ready Ruger would be pretty close to $800.00 Can. For a couple hu...

Thats quite a leap from the topic question on "best sub $500 .22 target pistol for 50' bullseye shooting" The forum is Olympic Pistol ..... So what Joe has learned from this thread, is not to ask questions about BE shooting on this forum Sorry, but I'm just a poor speller. I thought that ...

Latest Consensus on the Best Inexpensive .22 Target Pistol?

Of course getting a consensus on anything is about as likely as Paris Hilton graduating summa cum laude - But I'll give it a try anyway. Is there a consensus on what's the best sub $500 .22 target pistol for 50' bullseye shooting? My guess is that it's still a Ruger (MKIII512 with 5 1/2" bull b...

Re: Continuing OFF TOPIC

so all these off topic replies because.... no one really cares about the SSP? I think it probably means that people have seen marketing exercises before. Yes the pictures look fantastic. To get people excited though will need Walther to get the pistol used in big competitions. Success breeds succes...

Re: Chinese Guns

Out of curiousity, does anyone know why the Chinese have not attempted to sell a very low cost replica of a .22 target pistol Joe: does the US gov't allow Chinese guns into the USA? Up here in Canada, Norinco guns are available, but one distributor up here expressly states that he cannot ship Norin...

Out of curiousity, does anyone know why the Chinese have not attempted to sell a very low cost replica of a .22 target pistol (or even an air pistol) somewhat similar to the Walter SSP or a Hammerli/Morini/etc.? I'm assuming that there are not any technical or legal/patent limitations that would pre...

Joe: What do you want an air pistol for? Plinking, informal competition, and formal competition purposes require very different types of guns. Steve Swartz (the 747 is probably adequate for plinking and possibly o.k. for informal competition) Primary use will be inexpensive target shooting (in my b...

Any Inexpensize Air Pistol Repeaters?

I was getting ready to purchase a Daisy 747 air pistol, but I really wanted a multi-shot/repeater. Of course, if I had >$400 to spend, there are several european models (e.g, the DRULOV DU-10 Air Pistol). But since my budget is <$200 and I wanted/need an accurate pistol with a good trigger, the Dais...
