BTW My grip safety did not work when the pistol arrived (I since pinned it out, removal is reckoned to be tricky) so be warned!
The instructions for the Walther KSP show how to 'activate' the grip safety, bizarre.....

RF

If you align your sights at 45deg you will need to change your wrist angle during the raise. Better to align the sights on the target, then lower your arm keeping your wrist locked as far as possible. I find it easiest to watch just below the target, then drop the eyes to pick up the sights halfway ...

AW93 vs Izh

A previous comment about the MG-2 being similar is, with all due respect, totally out to lunch. You may be out to lunch, maybe thats why you didn't notice the similarity, Mechanically the Izh and the MG2 are not dissimilar, they share many features, similar bolt designs, no firing pin spring, over-...

Izh vs FWB

Now I read your note again...

Feeling, balance: FWB Heavier, more forward balance.

Reliability: Izh No malfunctions in first 1,000 rnds. FWB don't know

Recoil: Izh sharper and quicker. For rapid fire probably better, for standard or sport maybe not so good.
FWB softer and smoother

Izh vs FWB

I have an Izh35M, I put ~50 rnds through a FWB AW93. Looking at them it seems the FWB, and the MG2, are derivatives of the Izh. The FWB is the better made gun by a mile, has a steeper grip angle, weaker but longer recoil cycle. It also has a last rnd hold open, which I am not keen on. I vaguely reme...

Has anyone heard of the Samarms SAM22?

0.32 Loads

Start with known components, look up the manual for a load, download by 10% and check velocity and for signs of high pressure. Work your way up to a desired load very carefully. That would always be the case, its always worth repeating so thanks. We do need a starting point, which is the factory da...

Lapua N310

Looking at http://www.vihtavuori-lapua.com, the standard loading for 98gr HBWC 0.32SW+L is 1.4 grains N310 I would think this is what Lapua use, as the companies are linked, although my experience of Lapua HBWC is they are undersize and very soft so there is not much bullet 'pull'. I had always unde...

Toploader

The top loading mag makes for a near perfect grip. Grip loading mags usually compromise the grip, foward loading mags make for an over long pistol which does not work for me. It can be a problem if you fumble ejecting a misfire, you can't then yank the magazine out from underneath to clear the resul...

Pardini mag

Don't know much detail on pardinis, but related to the mag ejector if the mag retaining lug is worn it can hold the mag too low for the ejector to work properly.

In this case both mags would show the same problem.

Accept your hold

If you accept that your hold is good enough to stay within the 9.5 ring, say 2 sigmas in 9.5, then most hits will be tens, the rest nines. You can't hit elevens so this is all you can expect. For most people with adequate basic training the above is true. The problems come when you try to hit eleven...

DES 0.32 Cracking

A local dealer has another on sale with the caveat "slide has been repaired (was cracked in normal place)" so I guess the comments above are accurate.

Unique DES 32 knowledge?

Anyone had experience of the Unique DES 0.32?

There is one reasonably priced locally, I reckon it could be a good counterpart to my Izh35.

Tiring in the aim

simply raising a 5lb plate from my side up to shooting level and holding there for 5sec. For reasons I can't remember I think its generally better to lift beyond the aiming point. Otherwise your arm learns a particular point and when tiring will drop below it. Its then very hard to bring it higher/...

Weight

How long do you hold in the aim for before releasing the shot? Most people wait too long.

The type of weight training will affect the balance of muscle type you develop, which will effect your performance in power or endurance events.

Eye problems

You should see an optician to get a clear answer, it could be the start of a problem, diabetes for example. If you're lucky its just 'floaters', I believe odd bits of the retina floating off. Most people have them and they get worse with age. I have always had them but they are becoming more obvious...
