Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
So... the reason Travis is taking another look at the .32acp bullets is because he and I have been talking. We've discussed the options of a softer bullet and he is experimenting. That said I didn't want to post anything because he didn't want loads of phone calls all asking the same questions. I th...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
Wouldn't it be better if the 60gr bullet was softer? Like 12BHN? Or lower like 9BHN? Surfing casting info it seems softer bullets are generally preferred for our shooting at low velocities. It looks like we should have softer bullets for better acuracc6. Fc90 swages his rejects and gets good results...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
What I need is a hobbyist machinist friend... Kind of like those friends with a pickup. :-) I hope I am thinking of this correctly. The expander would be used only once right? That is, to get a case to accept a .314 bullet. After firing an expanded case I assume I could use my custom sizing die to b...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
I just ordered some sizing dies from Lee. They are happy to make whatever you want. I spoke to a person named Jim and explained some of the efforts going on with the .32acp. He said Lee would be happy to make dies at whatever size you would like. Production time can be as much as 4-8 weeks depending...

Re: Pardini HP 32, ammo talk
Hello all. Been a couple of months since any updates to this thread. I finally have my .32acp set up but it's cold here now so my 50 yd testing is on hold for a few months. Wondering how others are doing with T&B or your own cast bullets. Any "revelations"? Any successes to share from ...

Re: Starline to offer .32 ACP brass
Not sure what others are finding but wall thicknesses around the mouth on the same case on mine are ranging from .0105 to .0130 with most being in the .011 to .0125 range. Is it usual case thickness varies around the case mouth? How much does this affect accuracy?

Re: custom .45 for Bullseye
I'm sure you will get a number of opinions on who's/what gun is best. I tried a friend's Rock River last January then decided to purchase one. The test target came with a 1 1/4" group with most shots in 1" with a flier (first shot through the new barrel I'm told) that made it 1 1/4. Cost w...

Re: Starline to offer .32 ACP brass
Starline now has .32acp brass listed on their website. Can't order yet but you can be notified. My experience in the past has been that when they post the notify button production is near. Hopefully we will see some brass soon.

Re: Pardini barrel mount scope rail
I wasn't clear on what rings I have. They are not split vertically. They are like this except they have one screw to tighten on the rail instead of two like the ones in the picture: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1362122288/leupold-prw-permanent-weaver-style-rings-matte?cm_vc=ProductFinding The bo...

Re: Pardini barrel mount scope rail
Didn't have a lot of time at the range so I only shot about 20 rounds of .22 and 20 of .32 after learning how to switch the barrels. Got home and was looking at the pistol and decided to check the rings because it looked like the front one moved. Lo and behold every bolt was loose. I don't have a to...

Re: Pardini barrel mount scope rail
Is there some guidance of what to torque the mounts to? Seems I remember something about inch pounds but can't remember where I heard it. Also, do stock pardini rings work? Got a full .32 and .22 setup in the waiting period to pick up saturday.

Re: Compressors
Love my Shoebox. It is easy to use and fills my tank nicely. There is some maintnence to grease it but it is simple. I have the Freedom 8 which fills twice as fast. The new ones are more self contained than the Shoebox as you have to have a seperate airless (cheap) compressor. But I really like my S...

Re: Anyone one own a Rock River Wadcutter?
Just picked up a RRA 1911 wadgun Monday. It's a tight gun and good shooter. The test target on mine was 1.5". But... one shot made it the 1.5". I was told it was the first shot. The rest of the shots (I can't tell for sure but it looks like more than 4) gave a 1" group. Wooo Hooo! I l...

Re: .32/.22 Pardini SPBE What Motivated You To Buy One?
sobakavitch brought up a point I may not have emphasized above. That is, does the .32 ACP have a future. Someone mentioned in another thread that the .32 ACP was looked at 15-20 years ago but obviously it didn't catch on. What's different this time? Just picked up a new Rock River 1911. Maybe I'll e...
