Re: New Series of Walther Target Pistols: CSP

Adjustable trigger is easily added , the part costs about $40. Scope rail is available at Red Feather too.

Re: Walther GSP Expert

IMHO, the frame was probably cracked prior to the grip cracking. I think it would take an amazing amount of torque to break the grip and the frame , so maybe the frame was giving way then the grip cracked.

Re: Walter SSP discontinued?

SSP are cool no doubt but GSP is better for Bullseye.

The new GSP500 is super cool and potentially excellent.

What Walther did was hybrid the GSP and the Hammerli SP20.

I do not believe GS500 are available in the US as yet.

Re: Benelli MP90 ?

Not great if you want to shoot with a red dot. Otherwise its fine. If you can get one cheap and like shooting iron sights its worth it.

Pardini is worth the price used to be $200 more now its +$800 more and its still worth it.

With an M41 or any 22lr try a drop of oil on the first bullet in the magazine seems to work for most.

Re: Smith& Wesson 52. 38 WC

If you do not have access to reloading supplies or ammo it is tough.....I have heard they really shoot factory WC ammo the best like Sellier and Bellot or Magtech. They were popular when the police used revolvers in the US and had access to large quantities of cheap or free ammo. The M52 is accurate...

Re: 45 Wadcutter gun

I'm think about setting up a 1911 for wadcutters. What mods are needed or is this something I should consider sending out. I also want to get a 22 conversion for this. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Skip 22lr Conversions, I had the best luck with Nelsons, Marvel is fine if you can get a good...

Re: EIC Pistol Options

I would try a Loaded NM Frame , similar to Range Officer. Change the Barrel and sights and you are good to go,

BUT the FRAME Has to NM in the serial Number.

Other option is a used Colt Gold Cup Series 70 they cost $1000 to $1300.

Spend a little more a Les Baer Premier

Re: Brass cleaning and lead exposure

Here is a tip,

Use Cloths Dryer sheets in your dry tumbler. They cut down on the dust. Outside is a good idea.

I would think the bigger risk is de capping and cleaning primer pockets that is a filthy job.

Re: Aimpoint H-1 Micros

Ultra is fine and better than the Trijicon. In the EU the Aim point may be cheaper and its worth the PX. I would also suggest the Primary Arms line , very good Aimpoint Clones but they are not Aimpoints. Aimpoint is to the Ultradot as the Porsche 911 is to an Alpha. If you decide to go Aimpoint then...

Re: Hammerli Xesse Trigger Guard Broken

That gun is crazy accurate and its crazy they don't fix the quality issues.

WALTER Umarex! Spend $50 more on the factory trigger guard, better grips and a barrel weight and people will pay $100 more for the Xesse.

Very important Edited to add: Larry's replied to my order with comments to check that the slide stop tang is fully supported by the frame to prevent movement and breakage. I've always had good experiences with the shop and hope to meet them someday at Camp Perry. Right to left worked better for me a...

Re: custom .45 for Bullseye

I like Dave Salyer , makes an accurate gun no doubt about it. He re barreled a Springer for me and it shot well. If you buy a STI, or Caspian Slide and Frame I am sure he will do a great job in under 6 months but he does not offer documentation. If you want to save the money then for sure I would ra...

I did a lot of research on this In addition to cost wait, time is also a factor for me. My list was narrowed to about four guys in the country KC Crawford Joe Chambers Roddy Toyota Jon Eulette and Dave Sams The only one I did not interview was Toyota, although no one has a bad word to say about him....

Re: Back into Bullseye and load advice

VV 310 or Bullseye 3.8/3.9 tightest group, from my guns. 3.6 should be nice shooting for the short line and keep you in the 80s long line. HPLSWC 185gn, 200 gn LSWC Win-p VV310 or Bullseye 4.5gn 185 zero, 4.2 absolute lowest but needs 4.5 to print. I would go with 3.6 until your scores go up and I am...
