Re: Reloading Component_Current Sources
WST not meter well? I use a Hornady lock load and once you zero it in I get under 10th standard deviation and I check my measure once every 5 bullets and it's never off.

Re: Proposed CMP Rule Changes for Service Pistol
Factory ammo keep, just losen up on the idea that some how a customized 1911a1 with adjustable sights was a service pistol. Sig 226, any 1911 with iron sights, and the Barreta. You you realize how many people would participate in two gun 600 matches if they could bring a revolver and their Kimber, S...

Re: Reloading Component_Current Sources
WST is a good alternative to VN310. Nothing more accurate than a 200gn SWC on top of 4.2 gns of WST on the short line.

Re: Zero Bullets 185 gn HPSWC
I like them. Run 100% in my Les Baers and Kimber. (either frame or slide mounted) They nose in my Springfield at light loads, slide mounted dot. I hear the Bulleye load is 3.8/3.9 for that bullet. I am using 4.6 W231, 4.4 works but too dirty. Anyone wipe them down, is mineral spirits ok? RT

Re: Proposed CMP Rule Changes for Service Pistol
They should allow any 1911 with iron sights, and the Sig 226. By the current definition 1911's in service with the Marines and Special Forces would be disallowed. That is just silly. Beaver Tail, extended safeties, slide groves, none of that stuff makes the guns shoot a target more accurately and ye...

Re: Zero Bullets 185 gn HPSWC
Call them direct pricing on 2000 was reasonable as it included shipping 198 I think. About $10 more than Penn or CJN which where I usually order. Some casters will carry their jHP. They will send free samples of ten bullets. Their HG 68 looks nice in 200gn. I have had such good luck with CJN Casting...

Tried 1.23 in my barrels and a hair too long. Shot a 94 6x with em so they seem pretty good at 4.5/4.6 231

3 gn clays sounds hot
Make sure you crimp and fl sizing is right because that influences accuracy
That gun should be at 2 inches at 50 yards and in the same hole at 25 yards

185 HPSWB loads W231
I think the best load is 4.5/4.6 grains
Grouped tight and soft shooting.
That Zero bullet is great with the right recipe.

K14
Mine will shoot under 2 inch groups from 50 yards.
Karl nil makes nice grips for k frames
158 grain wc is most accurate load with 2.7 bullseye, 2.6 VN 310, or 2.7 wst.
158 grain swc work nice as well.
A good gunsmith can get the trigger down to 1kg.

4.7 231 grouped tight
4.6 231 seemed to group just as tight and was less warm.
Trying 4.5 tomorrow
BTW those zero lhpswc sure do seat low does an oal of 1.2150 to 1.2250 sound right?

Thanks
Seems like 4.5 to 4.8 is the range for LWSC
I used 4.4 in my les baer frame mount and had fliers.
I am going to put a rib on mine so this is very useful.
BTW my dad shot a 625, heck of a gun

My dad made master shooting and averaged 2575 for years using High standard victor S&W 629 6 Inch iron sights S&W 625 6 inch iron sights I am not sure, but I think 3.3 bullseye was his short line load. Technically a wheel gun can be faster than a semi auto. He gave me a set of English Target...

Zero 185 hollow point swc
Got a sample today the look very nice. flat base which I like but they load easy peezee . Chambered nice little difference between bullets Loaded a little longer than seems like 1.225 to 1.235 is the right oal with that bullet. Started at 4.6 w231 star line brass and winchester primers. 4.6 cycles m...

My friends shoot model 52s need to be flush or even sunk 1000s of an inch. 2.7\2.8 bullseye is a known load for that gun good out to 50 yards. crimp is critical but once you get it down they work good. Get the flat double ended wadcutters because some with the curve on top could feed poorly. So stay...

Bulls-eye load 38spl
You can get swagged 148's from Precision Delta, champions choice and Zero Bullets and most casters make cast double ended wad cutters. My ridiculously accurate load in my K14 is 148 HBSWC loaded just past the edge of the case (maybe a 1/32 longer if that much). A nice roll crimp and 2.6/2.7 gn of WS...

Nelson
I have a marvel unit one works great, Nelson looks like a nicer finish on a similar design. If they offer a rail with iron sights get that so you can shoot intl matches and work on trigger control. My marvel will put five bullets in the slow fire x ring at 25 yards. If you have a 45 that's the way t...
