Re: Anyone Shooting a Chambers Custom?
Joe Chambers on his Conversions " A sampling of the targets shot yesterday at 50 YARDS from the new .22 conversions. 16 barrels were shot. The smallest "keeper" group was .344" and the largest "keeper" was .762" for five shot groups (one keeper target per barrel).....

Re: Modding a Stainless Steel .45
SS fine, I would go with a slide mount. rock river makes one with iron sights like on a bomar rail costs about $125, versus $35 for a scope only rail. May be worth consideration. Depending on the gun and the loads you shoot you may have to change the recoil spring I like #11 but #9 to #12 seems to b...

Re: Controlling a shaky hold/pistol choice questions
Get all the books you can, US army pistol manual, Marines, ect all on Amazon for cheap. The J hillabran is the best one. Stance and sight alignment should help. Grip strength important you wobble will ease as your grip strength improves. Shoulder strength also important 5 or 10 pound dumbells or pus...

Oh its that POS sight bar, yeah if nothing else wrong with the gun get a Tactical solutions or a weaver rail from Brownells. Ridiculous design have to zero every time you need to field strip.

I would send it back to browning dirty or not that type of failure should not happen and they will probably fix for free.

Re: Benelli .22 Pistols
Mp 95 much better trigger
Grips are 250 dollars
So it's well worth the money.
Buy new the generation 3 slide much better
If you can get a Pardini for the same price it's worth considering

Re: I need a very reliable 22 for bullseye compitition.
Hammerli xesse is very reliable just make sure the trigger guard gets the once over from Larry because if they are fitted improperly at the factory it can fail.
Marvel Unit one once broken in will be the most reliable. I need to put a drop of locktite on my guide rod.

Re: Marvel Conversion
Will work great with a Springfield frame. I have mine on a loaded which is same lower as the Range Officer. Less so with a Rock Island or Kimber. Will not work with an STI 9MM. For best results I have been told to have it fitted to a new lower. People say Nelson is better and I was not impressed wit...

Re: Would anyone be interested in a sustained fire match?
Was thinking about adding a NMC but then its just about a 900. Maybe two strings of Slow Fire on a timed and rapid fire target. The whole idea is to get new people into the game and 5 hours for a full 2700 or even 1.5 hours for a 900 is a bit much for many younger people with families. And yes I was...

Would anyone be interested in a sustained fire match?
3 strings of timed fire
3 strings of rapid fire
Idea is to run a fun match for people that have busy schedules.

Re: Colt 1911 45 ACP Gold Cup National Match
No but is this guy a Master or is he shooting out doors? Let him get started that gun is fine for that and latter on he can send it for an accuracy job once he knows what he wants? Sure getting a good Madore is ideal. My Dad had a national Match customized by a name guy back in the day but he had 80...

Shot 280 with that dot on my 22 so its just a matter of preference not performance. I may not have registered it yet not sure o...

Re: and now testing loads for a B/E revolver
Using HBWC and 38spl. max load is 2.9 gn wst Most accurate load for 60 years SL and LL is 2.7gns bullseye and 2.7 gns Wst i find is a little better in terms of recoil and soot. Some old timers use 2.5 .6 for SL but you have to have really good follow through because the bullet is really slow. Greate...
