Re: Damaged threads on LP50 pressure reducing valve
There’s your answer. Probably different threads. Except the threads on the two cylnders look the same and I can screw the 10punkt9 cylinder on to my Evo10e (which has intact valve threads) and it fits perfectly. Also, 10punkt9 sells a lot of Steyr cylinders and I haven't read bad reviews. I'll just...

Re: Damaged threads on LP50 pressure reducing valve
No, because then the valve threads would be smaller than the cylinder threads. I can't understand how I damaged the threads on my LP50 but not my Evo10e which I shoot more often. The only difference is that I'm using generic cylinders on the LP50 from 10punkt9 in Germany but genuine Steyr cylinders ...

Damaged threads on LP50 pressure reducing valve
Hi, I just realized I've damaged the threads on my pressure reducing valve, the part the cylinder threads on to. I have two questions maybe someone can help me answer. Did this result from negligence on my part? I'm careful not to cross-thread when I screw the cylinder in. When I finish shooting, I ...

Re: Custom titanium firing pins?
Thanks for all your responses. I was using protection for the pin/chamber with a small piece of a thick blank credit card. However I now realize I should've replaced the card sooner because right before the pin broke the card had become flattened out from so many shots that it probably had lost its ...

Custom titanium firing pins?
Hi,
I just broke a firing pin on my FAS 6007 from lots of dry firing. I have several back-ups but I was wondering if there is an individual who manufactures custom titanium pins. I want a more rugged pin.
Regards,
Lloyd

Aguila SE standard velocity 40 gr now manufactured by Armscor?
Hi, I notice that Aguila SE standard velocity 40 gr ammo now has a new red and white package and is manufactured by Armscor. I thought the previous stuff in the white/blue/gold package was pretty good but the package said nothing about Armscor. Has anyone here used this new Armscor produced ammo? ht...

Anschutz 2002 Super: eyepiece cannot be unscrewed
Hi I purchased an Anschutz 2002 Super Air but I can't unscrew the eyepiece from the diopter. Is a special wrench required to your knowledge? I've enclosed a photo that shows what looks like a washer with notches between the eyepiece and diopter. I couldn't find anything in the Anschutz user's manual...

I'll re-install the spring and make sure it's clean. I'll also try another backup spring too. Thanks.

Re: Slide Won't Cock Hammer: How to Make the Return Spring Weaker?
I'll clean the slide and frame again thoroughly before I mess with the spring, because the problem is just as bad after the fourth and fifth rounds. The reason I suspected the spring is because it never happened once before I changed the spring.
Thanks to you both in any case.

Re: Slide Won't Cock Hammer: How to Make the Return Spring Weaker?
I'm using the same CCI sv that I was using before the spring change. Could I compress the spring by cocking the hammer and leaving the gun for an hour or even overnight? I'm assuming that this Chiappa spring has the same number of turns as the original but since I threw the original out I can't be s...

Slide Won't Cock Hammer: How to Make the Return Spring Weaker?
Hi, I just replaced my return spring (on my FAS 6007) and now every other round the slide won't cock the hammer. I'm assuming the spring is too strong because I never had this problem before and everything else like ammo and my gun cleaning is the same. Unfortunately, I threw out the original spring...

Anschutz 9015 Refill Adapter Leaks?
Hi, I have an Anschutz 9015 with a lightly used refill adapter. Now, I can't fill the cylinder because the refill adapter leaks. I haven't removed the o rings to inspect but they appear to be intact, and I've only refilled the cylinder four or five times so the rings haven't been used much. Could th...

Re: FAS 6007: FTF due to weak hammer spring?
I purchased a 13 lb hammer spring from Gunsprings.com that is similar in size to the FAS-It's for a FEG pistol. The pistol fired 50 rounds with only one ftf, a huge improvement from before, so I guess it was a spring problem. The FEG spring has 5% thicker wire but a 7% greater coil diameter compared...

Re: FAS 6007: FTF due to weak hammer spring?
I have spare FAS recoil springs. but in my case, the slide will chamber the subsequent rounds but they'll light strike and so not fire.
