Re: 1911 Series 80 - are theses used anywhere for bullseye?
I shot a Series 80 for a long time when I first started shooting BE. The gun was built by Clark Guns and shot very well. The trigger on the gum was very good and I doubt that most people could tell it was a series 80 by the feel of the trigger. It was a little more of a pain to clean if you stripped...

Re: 5 shot air pistol
I have a LP-50 compact and a Sius HS-10 electronic target. I have found it very worthwhile to practice with to improve my bullseye shooting at both 50 and 25 yds. However I have put a 3 1/2 lb spring in it to practice with. The Sius software has in it the capability to show a 50 or 25 yd NRA target....

Re: Aim point H-1 mounted on Pardini SP BE?
I had a friend mill the base on a stock H-1 to fit the grooves on the Pardini. When shooting the pistol in the 32 configuration using Hornady ammo I think the fine point on the rear dovetail on the fixed side of the H-1 base sheared off on recoil. I have not tried since to run a H-1 on the Pardini. ...

Re: Service Pistol alternates
Take a look at the thread on the Bullseye Forum under Equipment. It is about the Springfield XD match in 9MM and has some pictures posted that were shot by one of the AMU shooters Adam Sokolowski. Impressive even at 50.

Re: Getting the most out of an alibi
On the other hand if you shoot all 10's and 9' a alibi probably will not mean too much! Since I don't do that and tend to think too much when shooting a alibi I have thought about not shooting it if it is a 4 shot and I feel pretty good about the first shots on paper. And of coarse if you shoot noth...

Re: High $ ammo
My philosophy is to use the best gun that I can buy and ammo that will at least shoot a small 10 ring group. I have found that less expensive ammos will shoot x ring in many guns, depends on your barrel. I don't think that using a ammo that does not group well because you cannot hold that small is a...

Re: Scatt On Windows 10
Yes I installed Scatt from a download on Windows 10 that was a new install in Parallels on a MacPro Laptop. It runs fine and I even can run it on one USB port and simultaneously run a Sius Electronic target on the other USB port all on Windows 10. I am not a Windows person but what is the error mess...

Re: Case cleaning for reloading
I agree that a coating of burned powder residue or mica on the inside of clean cases will reduce the galling at the expanding die I don't think that a clean surface is the primary problem with new cases. The clean surface no doubt contributes to the galling issue but I believe the real culprits are ...

Re: AW93 - premature lockback
Yes the pin is 6.6325.035 2.5mmx6.0mm. I had a parts diagram that I think I downloaded from FWB. My Manual and Parts listing was stolen when I had a pistol bag stolen. They didn't get the pistol but they did get 2 magazines and a Marvel conversion along with several thousand dollars worth of files, ...

Re: AW93 - premature lockback
I have a AW-93 and had a problem a little different than yours but the cause was very subtle. If you look at the housing on the top of the breech area of the gun that the bolt slides back into when it cycles on each side of that top piece there is a short pin that holds that housing down on the fram...

Re: Scatt MX-02 Trainer
Thanks to everyone for their response to my question I will probably try the Scatt again and if I cannot get it to work with the Parallels I will use VMware. I thought there would be more folks that had tried it on Parallels.

Re: Scatt MX-02 Trainer
Well I bought a unit at Perry and tried to load it on my MacBook Pro running current Parallels and updated but old XP Professional and that would not work. One last, I think, question? What initiates the aiming trace in each system. Do you key the computer or when it sees the target or ? Thanks

Re: Noptel Trainer vs. New Scatt Trainer
When you practice bullseye and shoot the group on a blank target are you shooting 25 yd sustained fire? Although shooting the sustained fire with the LP-50 does not do anything to help your recoil tolerance and recovery it still I found improved my scores significantly to the point where I went up a...

Re: Noptel Trainer vs. New Scatt Trainer
If you use the MX-02 in a 5 shot sustained fire sequence i.e. in 10 or 20 seconds will it trace the entire aiming path and place the shots?
