Note that Don Nygord converted an electronically triggered Pardini GPE to .22lr. As of today, he still has it listed on his used guns page. Since the listings on that page change frequently, and due to the fact that Mr. Nygord's health is sadly leading him to close his business, I will quote the tex...

Paul, Just sent you some older photos. I will send others when I get the chance in the next few days. Let me know if they don't arrive; though I send mail through a respectable SMTP server, the domain of the ISP in my return address has sometimes been a spam haven, so my mail is occasionally blocked...

Paul, Are you still on Earthlink? If so, I still have your e-mail address from when we last corresponded regarding the GT-45. I will try to take some shots and get them to you in the next day or two. The Vitarbo grips are not adjustable, but this is not a big problem to me, as my hand is not especia...

Mr. Vitarbo is the CMP Junior Director for the state of Utah, so his contact information is available on the CMP website . He has sold many of his grip designs and patterns to another grip maker, whom he also trained and of whose work he speaks highly, so he no longer makes grips himself for many of...

Standard velocity Aguila functions fine in my Pardini SP. Every gun is a little different.

I am no lawyer, but the District of Columbia Code appears to exclude from its "Firearms Control" laws (i.e., Title 6, chapter 23 ) air guns with the following characteristics (taken from Subchapter I., 6-2302,7,E,i): Any pneumatic, spring, or B.B. gun which expels a single projectile not e...

Re: .32 reliability..

Yes, I omitted the Haemmerli 28o simply because I think I have not had enough experience with it in .32 caliber. But I have fired perhaps a thousand rounds through one in .38 Special WC caliber. I think you may be slightly confused on this. The 280 was never made in .38 Perhaps he means the SIG-Hae...

The Ruger Mark II family has a firing pin stop to prevent chamber damage from dry firing. This is explained on pages 17 and 21 of the manual.

I am not certain that the Mark I had such protection.

Re: CF Revolver

Well, it seems to focus on DA shooting, which is logical since the match it got its name from is basically a NRA Bullseye match, but only for revolvers with iron sights. It would probably do very nicely for field target, Swedish style , but for ISSF CF I think a good SA trigger pull is the priority...

This is one of the few more in-depth reviews I found on the Trailslide. http://www.galleryofguns.com/shootingtimes/Articles/DisplayArticles.asp?ID=297 It includes comprehensive accuracy tests with different ammo. The same site has a review of the IZH-35M: http://www.galleryofguns.com/shootingtimes/...

Reliability: My Trailside had finicky taste in ammunition and liked to be run clean. The piece under the barrel (plastic on my gun, a weight on some models) fell off unless secured by Lock-Tite. While I have shot the IZH-35M and KSP-200 enough to be familiar with how they shoot, I haven't owned one,...

Re: practice ammo

I have been paying 5-6.00/100 for CCI std velocity at the local gun shops. I can buy much better than that for the same price at the gun shows. You might look for gun-show prices on the CCI as well. In the Dallas area, I have been able to buy CCI SV for $70.00 (tax inclded) per 2,000 rounds at the ...

Edited because I realized I was talking about the chamber end of the barrel, not the muzzle end. I will look at my gun later and see what I can tell. BTW, I don't recall if I've seen you discuss ammunition on the Bullseye list. I have been using CCI SV but have lately switched to Aguila. My SP turne...

I also like to shoot the .22 900 Bullseye matches at Dallas Pistol club in Farmersbranch off of 1-35. The standard pistols make a great bullseye gun. The Bullseye matches are held on Sundays and last a about 3 hours. Most of the shooters are very good and they are happy to see new faces. I am not s...

SBow That's the one. Did you see the gun? What's your opinion. TJ At casual inspection, it looked nearly unused to me, but while I knew what it was, I had never seen one before in person, and I didn't know enough about it to know what to inspect. Also, I was wary of the parts supply, finding a grip...

Was this the gun sold from the Jackson Armory table at the Dallas show Saturday? If so, I suspect you got an excellent price. The price the former owner told me he took was some $400 U.S. under what the Blue Book claims for it. (Not that the Blue Book is an infallible guide.)
