Re: I'm looking to buy a 10m rifle and I don't know what to
I use an FWB 800X, and to me at least, its one of the more comfortable rifles to shoot. It is very adjustable, which can be good and bad, but so are most of the other rifles you listed. I personally like the FWB because of the way the action opens, and how adjustable the gun is. I was not a big fan ...

Re: Noise in the World Cup Finals
When we were at finals at the USA Shooting Nationals in Ft. Benning this June, the crowd was encouraged to cheer even while they shot. So people were cheering and shouting during the entire thing. People were even stomping their feet on the bleachers during a shoot off. I personally didn't cheer whi...

Re: Which rifle should I get?
Personally, after shooting an 8002 for a while, I wasn't a huge fan of the Anschutz air rifles. They aren't as comfortable and easy to shoot as others I have used, like Feinwerkbau (FWB) and Walther air rifles. I personally think the side cocking on the 8002/9003 actions aren't the most comfortable ...

As for brands and types, Champion's Choice has one that's OK, but my favorites right now are the ones made by Eric Uptagrafft. They are expertly machined and anodized, and have a full-length rail for getting your sight in multiple positions. They also come with a tuner, if you prefer, though that v...

This forum is typically for target shooting, though I have heard of people using K31's for highpower rifle. The description of the video had what looks to be the email to contact the maker of the stocks.

I do the same thing as pratt, usually starting on the top left record bull and going down, right and up to shoot the target. To change my NPA, I shift my body , but not my elbows. To move the NPA up, I shift back on the mat slightly, and to move down, i shift up (towards the target). To move the NPA...

Adjust the sights if they are not right, even if they were 20 minutes ago. Changing of positions and other things will change your point of impact so adjust accordingly. If you are shooting indoors, you will need to adjust much less than when shooting outdoors sometimes, due to wind conditions and c...

Anschutz 2002 Alu
A Cabela's near me has a Anschutz 2002 Aluminum stocked air rifle for $1600 and I was wondering if this is a good price for it. It comes with 2 air tanks, bipod, Browning case, new 20 click Anschutz rear sight and front sight with several inserts. I would probably replace the 4759 buttplate with a M...

Cutting Grooves in Boots
I understand there are several heavily debated rules put in by the ISSF about shooting boots. The rounded off toes, the angle of bending of the sole and the material the sole is made of. I will be getting new boots soon, Corami to be specific and they may or may not pass the 22.5 degree bending of t...

I also have a 1914, and I personally like it more than the Aluminum Anschutz stocks, mostly because the grip is very comfortable. I shoot a 8002 Air Rifle and I hate the grip on it, but the 1914 is very comfortable. The rifle with a 1907 action is slightly nose heavy like 'dude said but i used tape-...

Hi, I have been using Sauer shoes. They are pretty good in terms of support and stability. Another famous brand you can try is Corami. Always look for a shoe you are comfortable in and has some breathing space for your feet. If you want any more more feedback feel free to mail me. I will look at Sa...

Re: Foreend Riser Block Question
I was thinking of purchasing a foreend riser block for my Youth model 1903. I want it because in offhand my rifle isnt high enough. I use the fist with the gun stock resting directly on my knuckles and I need it to be raised higher. Would this solve my problem? Thanks Like others have said, try mov...

Good Rifle Boots?
I currently use borrowed Anschutz shooting boots for rifle, and I am looking to get my own now. I have matching Gehmann Pants and a Jacket, so i was thinking about just getting the Gehmann Boots, but are there any other good brands I should look at? Any recommendations are accepted. Thank you.

Patrick ... I'm not picking on you here, but I'd like to maybe change your viewpoint. Let's say you are at a National Match (JOs, Rocky, Nationals, NCAAs, etc) and it is determined that your pistol grip on your rifle is touching your jacket and nothing you can do to the jacket is changing that. 1) ...

Weighting 1914 Anschutz
I have a 1907 barreled action in a Anschutz 1914 stock, and it feels somewhat front heavy and it feels awkward in offhand and in kneeling. I have seen different types of adding weights to stocks, specifically towards the rear, but only on aluminum stock rifles. Is there any way for me to add weight ...
