NRA rules concerning palm rest??
Is there a rule about how much vertical drop there can be from the center line of bore to the palm rest?
Can you manufacture one that theoretically allows the elbow to completely rest on hip to brace gun? That's not exactly what i want to do, but you get the idea.

Yes I did. Love it. Hit the front post from base up with a little green and put a thin line of white just at the crest. Sighted in for the bull to rest just inside the edges of the U.
also had to back up on the added vision correction. backed up to a +.5

Thanks guys. Its a plan then. Shooting the other day had quite a bit of white area around bull so I'll buy a couple Wednesday. The larger of the two I tried was a larger aperture both in hole and thickness of bars. I'll be at champions choice so I'll pick up a few to try.

Re: thanks to all who are helping me! range report...
How do I order more specific apertures? How do I name/number what I want? If I needed thinner ring width? Smaller circle? Is it numbered the same if I try the circle only types?

Re: thanks to all who are helping me! range report...
Tim, thanks for the reply. I sighted in first for the 3.7 and then didn't change the sight and just tried the other two inserts. The bullseye is 3 7/8 inches. The stock positions need to be adjusted. Still trying to get a feel for it. I need to move that sharp angle of the cheekpiece over to a flatt...

I am indebted to all who are helping me get into this discipline. If ever in need, reach out when I can help you. Attaching a pic of the set up so far. I still need to adjust the cheekpiece. Like another thread has going, I don't completely understand the front aperture sizes. I couldn't wait for wa...

please post your personal, experience based recommendations please. I can get a forward cantilever that looks ok in a BKL but it's not easily detachable but not too tough either. thinking of going with quick detachables if they are good now.

NRA prone match questions and help understanding rules
what i can gather from the rule book... what's supposed to be the difference in rule 3.1 "the rifle" with a trigger requirement and 3.2 "any rifle"? are there individual match rules that require this difference? and then on 3.3 the light rifle has a less trigger at 2lbs. are thes...

A temporary solution is also to take a post it note and put your hole in it and then affix to a lens.

Re: Great ammo test from another site
Thank you for posting that! I've been an Eley fan, and my guns generally like them a lot. We recently acquired an older case of tenex and its is doing very well. I've been researching ammo to see if I could find an out of the box consistent performer. I really don't like the idea of excessive measur...

Re: help a noob with aperture sights please....
If you want to make a day trip over to Memphis one weekend I'll put you behind an Annie with irons or set your rifle up to experiment with the bloop tube, front and rear apertures, filters plus I have a set of test lenses to determine the sight correction. If you aren't in a hurry to buy sights you...
