Me too, but I reckon that loads of practice will be needed before anyone here can out-shoot the gun.Rover wrote:I'm enjoying this!

Re: Steyr LP50
The magazine housing does not have the physical capacity to accommodate a six shot magazine. Without extending the mechanism six shots can not be registered in the space available.

Re: Steyr LP10 Cold weather problems
I've used mine outside three or four times a week over two winter seasons in the UK and it's never missed a beat. Same with my LP50 over one winter season, no problems with cold weather.

No problem, the Amazon.co.uk link is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/HotRox-Rechargeable-Electric-Hand-Warmer/dp/B009IOQWVK/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1418301544&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=hotrox It's not as cheap as the chemical variants, but I feel that it will be much more suited to t...

Re: Free pistol advice
Hi Mark, I was shooting some CCI through a friend's semi-auto rifle the other week. Grouping was generally OK but got a flier that surprised me. I've got some SK but not tried it yet, will let you know my thoughts. By the way if you want to shoot tighter groups you need your K22 back, it's shooting ...

Re: backed with question !!
I'm finding this thread intriguing and a mine of information, what with the very descriptive contributions and links. As a teenager I was passionate about pistol shooting and shot most nights of the week and at weekends. When I went away to university all that stopped and was left on hold for nearly...

Re: FAS604 Problem
Hi Kevin, we could do with some photos please in order to ID the parts and issue. I'll have a check on my 604's but as far as I remember a machine screw would have to come out before anything else dropped out. Good news is that the new 6004 parts are thought to be compatible, so a broken part should...

Re: First night with the FAS604
Very good progression there. Both of my 604's are down on power compared with pcp's etc. You need much better quality targets and try the lightest possible pellets with a 4.49 or 4.48mm head size if possible.

Re: Long time lurker...
There's a 6 yard target that's called an Air 8 that can be quite challenging if you are restricted to shorter distances. If you can do it I would stick with 10m ISSF targets at that distance and go for consistency in all aspects of shooting at that range. Loads of help available if you ask or search...

Re: Steyr LP10 shot count
Would be a bit more useful to know the velocity/pellets weight but thanks for going ahead with a real test rather than endless babble. Seems to mirror my experience in that I don't really have to care about this... Chrono'd it today at 460 feet/second, that's 140 metres/second with the 7.2 grain Bi...

Re: Steyr LP10 shot count
Not to be critical, but the holes in your quality target don't seem to be very clean. This makes me suspect the velocity of your pistol is somewhat low, but still pretty good for that many shots. Yes, agree. Apparently pellet velocity here is very low. And, as velocity is not given, the "test&...

Re: Long time lurker...
Hi Elpresador, and welcome to the forum. You've made a good choice of pistol. I've got a couple of them at the moment, one of which I'm going to put scope mounts on and sell to a friend who's wanting it for shooting from a rested position. Fairly easy guns to work on, so if you need help then just a...

Steyr LP10 shot count
Prompted partially by another thread in this section of the forum and out of idle curiosity I decided to empty my LP10 full size air cylinder by continuing to shoot pellets after finishing one of my normal rounds of ten shots on each of fifteen targets. I did this by putting a scope onto it that I'd...

Re: How to turn off absorber totally, Steyr LP10
Think I have been able to bring forward the bare facts: a long cylinder of a LP10 will, at pellet velocity recommended by the factory, just give 75 - 80 consistent shots. Note the fatory velocity setting of the LP10s, as they are shipped from factory, is much lower than recommended pellet velocity ...
