Thanks Rob. So far I don't think it's an issue, but I will make sure to check with the coaches.

Which style of front iris?

My daughter (Jr. Shooter) currently uses a floating front iris. Is there an advantage to using one with a cross bar?

I had it water jet cut and then TIG Welded it. The factory piece is bent close to 90 deg, where mine is about 45 deg, but other than that they are the same. This one uses the factory T-Nuts to mount the secondary wood piece (which she may or may not need). Are you shooting your new small bore down a...

I was able to make one for less than the offer I made that guy...which he declined.

BTW - do you shoot at the Spokane Club?

I contacted them, and they would sell to me direct, but it was over $225 and they can only do wire transfers.

Since I only need the one part, I just decided to make it. Should be finished up Monday, for less than 1/2 the cost of getting the one from Germany.

Thanks for the info...

They do have one on egun.de, but I am not sure how I could even register in order to bid on one.

Nothing on ebay.

Might have to make the part.

I need the bent Aluminum Plate from this style of Palm Rest (I only need the plate).

Any recommendations for a parts source?

Thanks,

John

johral You mention things like "new to this" your daughter is a J3 and a light barrel 1914. Unless you daughter is a shooting prodigy something a little less complex might be a better selection. A walnut stock 1907 is a nice choice, adjustable and the butt easily upgradable when the time ...

Thanks for the explanation. I am new to all this (she is a J3), so a 466 page rule book with no background info on my end gets confusing!

ISSF Rules Question - 50m Rifle

I have quick question for those in the know. Why would the 10m Air Rifle rules section specifically address (and prohibit) the use of aThumbhole Stock, but there is no mention of it for 50m Rifle? Why would it be OK for one discipline of the sport and not another? My daughter has her eye on a 1907 i...

In my opinion, and it is just that, my opinion......... Of the three things mentioned above, Equipment - Coaching - Dedication, the most important is coaching. Why? You can have $10,000 worth of gear and if you don't know how to use it, you will get beat by the 10 year old little girl next to you w...

Be thankful...price gouging is pretty much the order of the day over here. Target ammo from reputable source hasn't gone up dramatically, but it is almost impossible to find it in stock anywhere. When it is, it is gone in a matter of hours.

Agree with both of those sentiments. The J3 type shooters are like the intramural sports sponsored by the schools. Those kids that excel move on to city league, camps, individualized coaching - which has a cost. They do it because the like the sport and are good and the parents are usually willing t...

I have been lurking for a while, first time I had anything worth (maybe) adding to a discussion. As a new parent/child in the sport, I would be willing to pay for coaching if the equipment was all furnished, even as some type of rental. I couldn't afford to buy all the equipment, ammo and then pay f...
