Rio Salado Sportsmans Club gets my vote (and dues) for its many different venues. Go to the website and look at what is offered, it pretty much covers the whole gamut except for International Pistol (PRGC is the king in that arena). Take a look at the calendar and you will see that it is extremely v...

I believe I was the fellow that had the problem. Even after a thorough cleaning of the parts it resurfaced a few hundred shots later. I'd clean it again and it would be ok for awhile. This sounds like a much better "fix". I have obtained the new valve and installed it. I'll let you know wh...

At first I was suspicious that the cylinders were leaking so I bought the new cylinder but that had no effect. Then I thought that maybe the velocity was too high so I chrono tested it and got the 505 fps result. The gun is still usable and shoots well just not getting as many shots as I thought it ...

The cylinders are full length. The manometer is slightly into the yellow area when it locks up. This happens with all three cylinders, two have the newer color coded manometers. The third one labeled 20 year max with 02.00 date has no color coding, just a yellow face plate going from 0 bar/psi to 30...

Morini 162El - now many shots from full cylinder?

I bought a used Morini 162El. Seems to be in excellent shape. Shoots well. I am filling the cylinders to 200 Bar. I then get about 80 shots before it won't allow another shot . Is this normal? Manual indicates that it should go 200 shots? Tried a brand new cylinder get same thing. Tested the guns ve...

Countdown timer for 8 position 10 meter air pistol range?

Looking for suggestions as to a good count down timer for an 8 position air pistol range using returning targets. Would like to have one up front where it can be seen by all shooters. Would need to be settable via a remote control. Champions Choice had one but it has been "out of stock" (i...

Ah, I understand now.

After the EXPO will you be allowing members to use PCP and SSP air pistols on your range or are you restricting the range to blowback air pistols only?

Help me out here, please.

What exactly is a "air pistol with a blowback system?"

This is an unfamiliar terminology to me. I know what CO2, SSP and PCP are but have never heard of blowback.

I think I have the "leaking" problem solved. I removed parts 17 - valve plunger, valve - 9 , and valve spring - 13. Took a q tip moistened with Kroil and swirled it up and down in the bushing - 32 (where the above parts normally reside). After doing this until the q tips came out clean, to...

There seems to be two conditions. #1. As the pump stroke is finished, it then leaks. This is before the loading latch is closed or even moved. #2. Holds air until the loading latch is in the final closing stage. I can pump it, walk away for 10 minutes or more, come back and as soon as I close the la...

I took it apart again and cleaned 13-valve spring, 9-valve and 17 valve plunger, ran a q-tip down 32-bushing, blew some canned air down the tunnel. Re-lubed it, put it back together and it worked for about 40 rounds, then starts to leak out again. Something happens as the latch is closed? The trigge...

The documentation that came with it indicates a build date of 28.04.10 (April 28, 2010). I bought the gun from a store that no longer sells them and got it as a "parts" gun, they indicated it had this problem. I thought it was probably the main seal and replaced it. It was a "new"...

IZH-46M leaks when loading gate is being closed

I have a IZH-46M that pumps up ok but as soon as I close the loading gate it leaks the air out before the gate is latched. I cleaned the valve assembly and it will work ok for ten or so shots and then starts to leak again. This is happening with a new main seal (and also with the old main seal) The ...

I heard back from Pardini on the val.2012-031 marking. Pardini validates the cylinders for 20 years, in this case it is 2012-2031 (they do not stamp the 2 in the second date hence 2012-031). I know that ISSF will only allow me to use the cylinder for ten years so they are "good" from 2012 ...

For the Pardini cylinders do you think that is the expiry date or the manufacture date?

The 31st week sounds reasonable, a good call I think. I sure hope it is manufacture date or else I bought cylinders that are expired already to the tune of $185 apiece.

When I participate in a PTO they might care and I would hate to travel and then be told I could not shoot because my cylinders are out of date! I understand that local matches might not enforce the rule (which is fine by me) but rules have a way of changing and suddenly being enforced. I won't get y...

It might be a manufactured date but while I understand the 2012 part what does 31 mean? Is it March 1st or is it day 31 of the year 2012? There does not seem to be universal standard and I think there needs to be. And yes there has been lots of discussion and opinions but so far no firm replies othe...

AP Cylinder expiry date standards?

I just last week purchased a brand new Walther LP 400 Carbon with an extra cylinder. There are two different "dates' on each of the cylinders. One of the cylinders near the manometer says "usable till: 07/2022", near the regulator it says "usable till:04/022" The other cylin...
