Works perfectly on a Morini on dry fire. Persevere and you will be rewarded.

Re: What are the best ISSF legal (pistol event) shoes availa

The weight lifters shoes were the most popular amongst the Koreans and Chinese at the big shoots I've been to. The flexibility is down to the make and model of shoe. Some have wooden components in the front end of the sole and while the shoe would bend at the arch area I doubt would pass the issf st...

Re: Best ammo for Hammerli 10x and Morini CM84E

I use Lapua Xact - but only because I got several thousand rounds as a freebie :-). I also have used Tenex, SK pistol and CCI Standard velocity (which is about 1/10th the price of the Lapua); and would not be able to tell the difference in the results. One thing to take note of is how dirty the powd...

Re: Help re adjusting velocity & grip angle in a Morini 162M

Hi, Sorry I don't have the manual morini, so not certain on the grip angle adjustment (and at the least, this post serves as a Bump) - But you are correct on your velocity screw number. The larger screw 162078 takes the whole of that rear plate off - and you can then easily see how the velocity scre...

Pistols stolen in Surrey

All, just cutting and pasting something here in case someone hears something... We're sorry to hear Bookham Rifle Club in Surrey have suffered a break in, during which 3 Air Pistols were taken. LP 1 (Serial: 707649) LP 5 (Serial: 802691) Both converted to PCP. LP 2 (Serial: 907751) Anyone seeing the...

Agree totally. I have often wondered how to get a deeper rear notch on the Morini, it would be great to find a 'bolt in' replacement.

Re: Fill 'er up!

There was a blurb regarding the new lead-free "Green" pellets from H&N. Apparently they're almost good for only twice the cost. What's not 'green' about airgun target shooting? It's not like we feed the spent lead to baby hamsters or anything. We tend to sell it to the scrap man for r...

Re: No True Two Stage Triggers?

So a 'proper' two stage trigger is all about safety - i.e. stage one takes a massive amount of sear overhang away; and stage two releases the last little but - thus meaning if you are not pulling the trigger the sear is a significant mechanical block to the gun firing rather that just hovering on th...

Re: No True Two Stage Triggers?

Not sure if one of us is missing something, but here goes. On the Morini (I assume the others are the same, but don't know) there are two springs, first stage and second stage. The second stage spring comes into play at the point you set it to come in. So both first and second stages are progressive...

They are the same gun with different paint jobs and different cylinders. The Titanium did have a titanium striker, but that proved unreliable and was withdrawn and sold guns downgraded back to standard. Limited edition is just marketing speak.

Re: How to get into "high shoulder" position?

If low shoulder feels natural, stick with it for precision. High shoulder requires a good muscle tone to keep it consistent all through a match. Low shoulder is more naturally stable. For rapid fire, having a high shoulder can help with getting the gun on aim quickly and consistently - and muscle to...

Re: jong oh jin

Francesco was VERY pleased when he shot a 583 with his CM84. I wonder how many Swiss francs it took to make him switch his air pistol. That said, the LP10e is a shocking gun, only regularly serviced factory guns stay consistent; I don't know why anyone uses them. The Morini is just solid. (Now where...

Re: With Euro in the free fall, an obvious question to deale

Don't you guys in the states have some 'protectionist' laws to aid your home arms manufacturers (i.e colt, S&W, Ruger etc.) from being undercut by foreign manufacturers; with one of the stipulations being that a gun has to come into the country via an American manufacturer and as such you have t...

Re: Morini CM 162EI -- Dry firing with a charged air cylinde

Air is released by a hammer hitting a valve hard enough to force it open for a split second. The hammer is powered by a spring (which is adjustable, which changes the length of time the valve opens, which changes the velocity of the pellet). The spring is compressed when the hammer is pushed back du...

wobbly trigger?

Talking specifically about single shot precision here...Conventional wisdom would say a bearing trigger to remove any sideways movement is the best set up. But I just wonder if a trigger that allowed significant left to right movement, may be more forgiving to shoot. Not just sloppy manufacture move...

Re: I did somthing silly the other day.... Crono and grip

Ok, don't laugh out loud, but are you sure it is recoil? I had a similar experience with my Morini which I lived with for months, and eventually bought a Steyr to compare with. Then I put it on a SCATT and low and behold, the recoil was starting before the gun went off.... Mad I know, but it was my ...

Re: Airgun Rapid Fire

Ok, first start by shooting single handed on the middle target. Get a comfortable stance and get so you are grouping precision shots fairly well in the middle of the target. Two hands is easier, but if you want to shoot rapid fire, learn to do it properly so you don't have to re-learn if you ever wa...

Re: What a crock!

OK Rover I'll rise to the bait... just a bit. Last year I had an accident that stopped me shooting for a while, internal injuries and shooting arm in a cast. So to keep me occupied in my incapacitated state I did a raft of pellet testing with the gun in a vice. I also weighed pellets (ten at a time)...
