I would give it a clean and lube. New springs wouldn't be a bad idea especially the recoil spring. Only shoot standard velocity 22's in it. That last bit is from Bob Shea who worked for the original High Standard.

Got the Pistol Shooting book and the Psyche of the shot. Figured I would get both since the shipping is the same. Both books compliment each other very well and only a little overlap of information. Just got a Benelli Kite from larry's Guns about a month ago. Both my Cylinders were brand new wrapped in plastic and clearly marked 2009-2019. I have had this issue a couple of times with mine. Pull the slide off and clean around the trigger mechanism. I have found a little piece of debris in the trigger travel made just enough difference to prevent firing. Starts very intermittent but can get worse. Had to look several times before I spot...
