IMHO fiber optics are for picking up sights in low light conditions, not helping you align your sights for 10 meter air pistol. A gun set up for hunting, defense or speed shooting is worlds away from 10 meter needs. Black sights on a well lit target shooting a sub six hold should be able to net you ...

FWB 300 loose sight
It looks to have a rivet holding it on instead of a screw. Is there any way to tighten? Thanks.

Paula, Try taking a scrap of paper and punching a very small hole in it. Attach this to your glasses and look at your sights through that hole. If the results are sharp enough, you can buy a Gehmann clip on iris to do the same thing much better. It might save you neck strain, and if you also shoot l...

I am not saying I press the trigger, because I don't any more. I either use a lightweight trigger or the Gold Cup sear with depressor spring. I know WHY the old timers pulled the trigger first. If you have an old Clark Longslide or a Bomar ribbed gun with a steel trigger and shoe, you might well und...

Pressing the trigger with the slide locked back disconnects the inertia of the trigger from the sear on a 1911. When the slide hits home the whole gun moves forward a small amount, with a heavy steel trigger it can jar the sear out of the hammer hooks with a light trigger and the hammer half cock ca...

Source for Toz 35 rear sight blades?
I have not seen any for sale lately. Is it true that an IZH 46 works?

Pink Guns.
It is the color of pistol that I was talking about. If I were a woman I doubt I would go buy one of the "ladies" models that are pink. I can't assume all woman want all their possessions in the color pink just because they are women, be it a gun, laptop or spoon.

I don't get it.
I am a man. I am pretty sure if i was not, I would not be interested in a ladies forum when it comes to non gender activities like shooting. To my way of thinking good shooting technique is the same regardless of what sex you happen to be. To assume that a shooting forum was somehow intended for men...

Re: scoping
Started rifle shooting in 1976, pistol in 1982, but still a rookie I guess. If I see a shot that did not go where I thought. I want to fix the problem in my head before I bleed out a couple more 8's that I thought were centered.rickard9 wrote:Ahha, a rookie eh? Been there, done that

If you have access to a digital scale with check weights and a welding shop, you can make a mighty fine looking stainless set of weights with a nice stainless hanger from the scrap pile of various stales rounds with washers on top ground until they are right at what you need. Bullets of a known weig...

I am only a 520's FP shooter but I will give you my opinion. Remember that Tiger Wood's coaches can't beat him. Cross firing and vision: Get an clip on Gehmann iris. It will sharpen your vision all around and add depth of field to your sight picture so that both sights are in sharp focus. It will al...
