Re: question about AV-46m (IZH-46m)
FWIW,
I have an old IZH. It always seemed like quite a strain on the system to cock using the pump lever. I have always manually cocked the hammer, then pumped the chamber, loaded, closed the breech and fire.

Re: Update my Toz-35 or buy a FP60 ?
I prefer my (Hammerli/Walther) FP60 to my TOZ35M. But that's just a preference. I also have a Steyr Match FP which, although technically interesting has become a safe queen. All three out shoot me. But I still prefer my FP60. I expect it is mechanically very similar to the Walther FP500 so spares s...

Simply "Set" the trigger with the left lever, and dry fire to your hearts content.

Re: Air shutter Baikal IZH-46M never opens after initial pump
Ballistol is what I have used on all my air guns for decades, both PCP and SSP.
I too would guess your problem is mechanical.
Have you tried cocking the hammer as a separate operation from pumping the chamber?

Re: Trigger blade to finger pad pressure
You could put a very small dot of glue to have a tactile spot to index the pad of your finger on?

This sometimes happens to me. I have been known to even confirm my FP is really cocked.
Do you still have the original blade to use?

Re: Remove cylinder after each session?
I remove the cylinder to remove pressure from the inlet valve seal, and the firing valve seal, along with the regulator spring stack. I use moly grease on my cylinder threads and have not seen any wear on the threads from my habits.

Re: LP300 Regulator Issue
I have no experience with the Walther LP series. I do have experience with regulators. It is simply a piston with a low pressure side and a high pressure side, spring loaded. The low pressure side is a bigger piston, the high.side is a small piston. The usual culprit is one of the o-rings on the pis...

Re: Steyr Evo 10 E
There are still a lot of mechanical trigger guns represented in World Cup. SSP, uh not so much. What would YOU use if guns were given to you for free (as per WC competitor friend). I would use the same gun I use now. Every now and then "should have bought a SSP" is not the applicable answ...

Re: ISSF Ammunition Rules
It is a slippery slope to have "good" guns and "bad" guns. The vast majority of people don't know the difference. I worked with a guy that though all semi auto guns should be outlawed, but owned a Browning A5. He somehow thought it was OK, because he considered it as such. I hate...

I shoot my Evo in that temperature frequently.
75 bar is still in full velocity mode.
There is something else wrong. Maybe a regulator issue.

They are a fantastic gun with about zero parts and service available now. I would be worried that one purchased would be a paperweight soon.
Once I went Steyr, I sold mine and never looked back.
