Re: Relative ease of air pistol maintenance
The Steyr, as you point out, is easy. The regulator comes off with 4 screws, and two more hold the piston and washer stack together. The firing valve can then come out the hole from there. Adjusting the velocity is easy, and there are YouTube videos produced by Steyr for replacing or adjusting most ...

Re: Chroney'd a Morini 162MI Today
Things are in the very boring stages of February; however it went to 69 degrees today after a month of ice & snow. Took my chrony and Morini onto the finally snow-free back deck and checked it out. Ten-shot average using H&N 7.0 gr. Pro pellets was 522 fps, ES=5, SD=2, or a bit more than st...

Re: Air Pistol brand with the most support in the US?
The Steyr design has had a long run, and its still a top contender. Support will be the best for it. Some of the models that change every couple of years are prone to having parts not available.

If you happen to have a couple of boards, a towel, and a pair of C clamps, you can be good to go.

Re: Who has Rink grips on their LP10?
The official reply is that the Toz and LP10 are very different grip frames. So even if I sent my Rink brand Toz grips as a model for 3D, the grip hand size could be similar but not exact. I was hoping that since the LP10 only has a rod going down that it would be easier to make "Toz like" ...

I didn't happen to find a schematic for the kite to view.

Re: New member, with a few questions and a "what would you do?" Scenario
I posted a reply, but it didn't show up. My 2nd attempt. The Walter FP500 does not seem to exist. My attempts at contacting them about its availability proved futile. The other pistol that can be had cheaper is the Toz 35M. Brand new ones are $500, but require you to make or buy grips. They could ea...

Re: IZH 46M pumping lever popping off
I am curious. Did you attempt to increase your compression to the point of component failure?
If so, I didn't realize that was an option. Sorry about your linkage.

Thanks.

Re: IZH 46M pumping lever popping off
Are you just saying that your lever won't stay up, and drops down too easy?
If so, replace spring 45 with something a little stiffer, or add a spacer for preload.
Spring 45 pushes on the plunger latch 44 that cams the lever up into the tube. Ignore me if your problem is something different.

Re: Pellet performance vs cost
I have three shaker boxes purchased over the last 20 years. I have never had an issue except one. The yellow plate was held too high and the pellets dropped all the way through the holes. 3 minutes with a pocket knife, and it was good to go too.

Re: Who has Rink grips on their LP10?
Instead of buying of the shelf Rink grips for your LP10, tell Rink that you want an LP10 grip with the dimentions of the TOZ grip. Rink's real strength is the ability to custom make grips or copy existing grips that fit you well. That is what I did with my LP10. Modifyed the original grip until it ...

Re: Who has Rink grips on their LP10?
I had a Rink grip on my LP10, and I still have a Rink grip on my TOZ-35. The fit is noticeably different on each. There is a steel skeletonized frame inside the TOZ which the grip has to fit around. Not so in the case of the LP10. My LP10 grips fit perfectly, but the TOZ finger ridges are in the wr...

I have Rink grips on Toz, Morini CM84, and Steyr Evo10. > Did your Rink grips come with the sheet metal L shaped plate that the adjustment screws sit on? Who has Rink grips on their LP10?
I received Rink grips for my Toz, and they fit perfect. Its like they used my hand as the mold. So perfect that when I pick up my Steyr, it doesn't feel as good. I didn't notice an issue until I did a direct comparison. I have questions that some of you could maybe answer. Did your Rink grips come w...

Re: LP10 less recoil absorber travel, higher velocity?
You could try putting a cut off section of nail or screw into the hole to give the spring more preload or purchase a new spring and screw to get it back to where it should be.
Air does not push the weight back. The spring with the adjustment screw pushes the weight back.

Re: LP10 less recoil absorber travel, higher velocity?
So you put less tension on the weight spring and it only moves 1/3, then you added tension, and it still moves a 1/3? That seems odd. You can easily adjust the velocity down. I would wait until you have chrono access though. I will assume that you have watched the Steyr YouTube videos on both adjust...
